Just to share my excitement with people who undertand!! I passed my full licence! YAY!!

I do have to say that the guy who tested me in Mt Wellington was a great bloke, calmed me down a lot and was very honest and open about how it was all going.

Yay now I can legally ride my new bike!!!!!!

I want to know allllll about it. That is if you are not permenantly afixed to your bike now:laugh: Look out for the tin cans and enjoy Sal.

He went over a few basic stuff first, bout the ear piece and stuff (they make you wear one but it is not too uncomfortable or distracting). He also said, which I was both happy and impressed by, that all riding decisions I made he wanted to see based on safety, not nessesarily road rules. So I took that as if speeding past a big truck wanting to squash you wasnt going to cause you to fail :niceone:

We then went out and did the basic riding stuff for about 10min, make sure to nail all your indicating, turning into the right lane, stopping at stop signs etc etc.

Next onto the hazard detection, which was easy as there wasnt any traffic or people in the back roads of Otahuhu at 7:30am. Remeber to list him as a hazard aswell because he is behind you!

Finally the motorway trip which was a peice of piss as it was starting to get busy.

I came very close to failing as I passed an unseen school bus at 40km/h :( But he said there was no kids in or round it so it must have been just starting its run, if there was kids I would have failed! Scary!

Overall it went really well, I put a lot of that down to how friendly and open the testing officer was. A big improvement over every other one I have had!

Good luck for when you sit yours.

Also there was another young fella on a turquoise Hornet 250 sitting his after me. Are you a Kiwibiker? If so how did it go?

Well done JW!

Now take the rest of the day off school/ work and go for a nice legal 70km/h+ ride (tell your teacher/ boss that Drum said it was ok). Yeeehaaaa.
