Hi, I've not long been in NZ and am currently staying in Feilding with a friend, visiting from the UK for a year. I however wish to purchase a bike that is as cheap as possible but very reliable whilst being able to take a small amount of luggage. The bike will be initially used for touring solo and then most likely commuting.

Something like a Bros 650 would be ideal or perhaps a Transalp. I need something which already has WOF and rego if possible though will consider anything (good C&S & tyres preffered), cosmetic damage isnt an issue, mechanical neglect/rust etc is. must be 400cc or over. Located as close to Palmerston North as possible please.

What have you got basically?

Please contact me by pm or e-mail, cheers.

I have an incredibly reliable CX400 for sale, it's the smaller end of what you're looking for but wow, this is one reliable bike. It was owned by a motorcycle mechanic before me. Normally that would sound like a crock of shit, but in this case it's true.

Only $1700, and I have fitted an astoundingly loud Stebel horn. I can deliver if you like, it'd be a nice ride up.
It's a reluctant sale, as I'm off to Australia.

Low Kms, only 39,000, it was a weekend bike most of its life.

If you are in Fielding I can come bring it to show you next weekend , and you can take it for a test ride.

Although I said the bike must be over 400cc, if there is a good 350cc trail bike I'd certainly be interested in that as well.

XT or DR are the ones I know of.

Cheers, Robin.

GB400f TT will be available soon in Palmerston North. Excellent mechanical condition. High kms but as i'm sure you know, GB engines are pretty bullet proof. Camchain was replaced just before I bought it. Fully warranted and reg'd...

I wouldn't be interested in anything less than $1500 (I'm asking more elsewhere - but this is my base price for another KB member!). It's a brilliant commuter but I've taken it on some longer trips, it copes well loaded up. Very good on fuel - normally 290km per tank ($19 with high octane).

Lemme know if you want a photo or any more info.
