** Mods, please dont merge this post in with the other Steelmate one**
I have 2 Steelmate alarms sitting on my desk at work, I will also be ordering in 5 more in the next few days IF I get enough interest. I will double check the price of the current 2 tomorrow once the invoice comes from the accounts department.
Please PM me or better still ring me on 021963176...txt will be ok too :)

Seems you are importing these alarms to sell to kb'ers?
(Y) all for it.
Not so overjoyed about steelmate tho! Perhaps you can help me out.
Got a guy off trademe to put a steelmate somethingarather into my car a few years back. Has FM two way whatsit, remote engine start and all that bollix.
Remotes crapped out over 12 months, and the guy says they dont make them anymore so he can't get me any more! Will cost $300 for new basic model without the remote start etc, but can do me a special deal for it!
Now my car has an alarm, that doesn't work.
Any ideas on what to do?
Sorry to hijack your thread!

Hey Winter,
Im not importing them, I just have the joy of being able to source them for a cheaper price then most.
I will see if I can get you a new fob (Remote) for your model, could you provide the model number of the alarm..if you still have the manuals that come with the alarm it should have the information there.
Cheers!

The steel mate saved my bike, started screeming its head off so someone dumped it and jumped back in the van when someone pulled in behind them.
Witnesses got van details, police have been looking for it, stolen.
it works.
Fits well in my ZZR 400.

No remote start, I have never seen the point of remote start any who...it would give me the hebbie jebbies starting it when Im not near it. Ive also heard of many stories where the owner started the bike using the remote feature and the bike didnt have a in gear or stand down disable switch and the bike leeped off its stand....ouch.
Any who....looks like I might have to order in some more?

Try http://www.carremotes.co.nz/ for replacement remotes. We got one for the car when Fusion decided they would no longer support their year-old product....

I requested one of these way back when, you were going to PM me when available.
I'm still keen and the new bike is being picked up friday (a mere six months since I put down the deposit on it) so let me know how much to send and where to send it

Righto, time for me to take care of business... too many threads about people's rides being interfered or nicked..
So I think I need to take greater pre-emptive action! :angry2:
That'll be two for me!
