I occasionally read them with a sceptical eye. It is very easy to be right when you are that skilled at aiming specifically but covering everything. These things are worded to be applicable to almost everyone. However, a few centuries ago, astrology was a science. They looked for patterns according to when you were born, and the phases of certain heavenly bodies. The belief that planets could influence mood wasnt so weird when werewolves existed.....
So, a number of tomes were dedicated to this, and by some way or another, they agreed on some basics ie which planet did what to who. They confirmed it by "science" ie surveys etc. The ongoing popularity of stars is due to people not really critically analysing the message, and wanting to believe in some sort of destiny for themselves, along with some expert wording to provide almost constant affirmations of the belief that it works. Also, reading the stars first, predisposes you to look for affirmations of the ,essage, and ignore anomalies....
The paper probably uses a practising astrologer. There are plenty of astrologers and many other types who claim to be able to give you good readings (tarot cards, tea leaves, cross-my-palm-with-silver readers), and all use similar techniques in the presentation of their messages.

Astrology is incredibly accurate. Unfortunately a lot of Horoscopes are not based in Astrology. Sometimes I wonder if they're based in reality at all.

That's what I'm meaning. Does someone sit in a small room and just recycle the same messages? "the stars are in your favour today for a steamy relationship", "Don't be to hasty in changing career choices as mars has just left your quarter" and so on.

I heard that scientists have somehow proven that astrology is a have. They took a quantity of people and have studied them over the years to see if their 'stars' are correct.
I'm trying to find an article on it, but I have a feeling it was only an interest article on 'Nightline'.

It was a big study, to conclusively prove that astrology didnt work. They looked at the temperament etc of people born in different star signs.... ie it was a long term thing. I think they found that there was no evidence of a difference between star signs. No idea where to find it, but I remember the study
