Hey all,

Im after my own little space on the world wide web. An easy to up keep style with a online editor.

I wanna set it up for my projects so I can add large photos, put up info etc etc. Also a bit of software that would allow me to resize a huge folder of jpg's to one file size....this will assit my uploading onto the site.

Im a newbie...so nothing to hard.

Cheers ahead of time

James.

Check with your ISP (Internet Provider) as they generally give you free webspace as part of your package... usually up to 5 or 10MB or so, Also if you use MSN Messenger, they also give you free MYSPACE as , eg http://home.services.spaces.live.com/ have a look its all ptretty simple, follow the instructions.. get a userid if u dont have one and follow the instructions from there...
Have fun..

Try Google's Page Creator. It's free but you only get a limited number of templates for your pages and a max of 100mb of files. But, because you have to have a gmail email account to get it you can also upload 1gb of photos to picasa. You don't even need to know html. Check out the link to my site below and you'll get a wee idea of what you can do.

Also with Picasa on your pc you can upload files direct to picasaweb and I think even change the picture size as you do it.

I'm no Microsoft fan but the live.com stuff is pretty good. You might also want to look at http://wordpress.com/

I personally just use Geocities/Yahoo website pages as I find their WYSIWYG online editor rather good. But I can see most people would hate it as it is an online editor and WYSIWYG editors are known for their bloated scripting.

Suits me anyway. I just have a site with music downloads, online music streams, some other small downloads, and links to buy merchandise. Nothing to fancy.
