Sorry slowpoke, but the cost for 2 days over a weekend for the full track is pretty steep, as well as extra personal required to run it. It is still something we are looking at for the future. We do have the full circuit booked for the endurance races the next day

Haha, cool ,I'll enter the endurance race, have 20 or so laps of fun and call it a day! (joking)

Not the only one... whatever I'm riding.

Yep, the guys on the bigger bikes generally prefer to use more than 2 gears and the tiddlers like the go-kart track.

Mind you the lil' fella's are brilliant to watch 'cos you can watch them at one corner and by the time you've walked to the next corner they are nearly there, so you can watch them all the way 'round the track....:girlfight:

I'm most probably doing the endurance race on the CBR250 if it goes ahead. Will get entry in soon.

Streetstock class - too slow for F3
I'm most probably doing the endurance race on the CBR250 if it goes ahead. Will get entry in soon.
150 S/S class ineligible to race in the junior endurance race as advised by MNZ

If the class gets to big ay chance of two seperate races? No, we will allow the max. of 42 on the grid. First in - first served.
Whats the plan split start or all mixed up like? Split start - 150's first, then buckets.

scrivy, are you allowed to Amend your entry if ya get another bike?
Yes, if same class, that's ok. If different class - only if not full.

sorry nicksta & cm2005 we still only have the one bike, one class rule as otherwise lots would miss out on racing if everyone crossentered. If for some reason we didnt get many entries then we would consider it on day but that looks very unlickly to happen. just have to find another bike guys. we are taking up to 40 entries in each class & then reaserves that can practice but only race if 40 do not turn up on grid, if you need to know anything else i usually check site everyday

From our entry form: 'This year will see 3 practices/qualifying on Saturday (day 1) to determine grids for race one on Sunday. On Sunday there will be a short scrub/practice followed by race 1, the results of which will determine grids for a feature race for each class that will have trophies awarded to top placegetters'

But more importantly, we now also have Telesport filming the race day and SpeedboxTV beaming it live around the world!!!!
This has only been achieved with the help of a great friend who never gave up finding a deal to make this happen, even in the 11th hour!!

This is great for our meeting, and great for the Tri-Series!!!

You guys need to create a NEW NZ Championship, the one that exists now s only about 1000 years old in the way it is done

A Plastic trophy for first on a $45K bike:eek:

At least your team has exsposed NEW ZEALAND and the racing to the world.

Of course my comment is only a internet wank, not knocking the sport or organisers at all.

This just keeps getting better and better!!!!:banana:

We have sorted a deal that will see http://www.speedbox.tv/ be streamed live to internet users worldwide!! That's right, NO CHARGE TO VIEWERS!!

Tell all your sponsors, (and family and friends that can't be there on the day), to log on to the above link if they want to catch their valued sponsored riders!! Spread the word quickly!!

This is fantastic news for all the racers, as the entirety of your race will be shown and commentated on!! Remember also, that this is a streaming event, not a download, so it won't put you over on your internet data caps/usage plans!!

Oh, and 1 last rave, a vital sponsor of the TV deal has agreed to supply some rather impressive prizes for the winners of each class at the Road Race Spectacular.

Scrivy

well it was rather bloody well done really, I appresiate the amount of money that went back into the system for the races, trophys, spits etc... more flag points is about all I can think off :Punk:

Far more money "went back into the system" than the event ever made.

awesome event again guys and gals... thanks heaps!

will you be posting the results or a link to access placings??

only thing i can suggest is a lot of us racers/support crew agreed that we wouldnt mind paying a little bit extra to get the showers opened up for us as 3 days at the track is a long time if we're camping and sweating it out all day!

looking forward to next year :)

I would agree with that.

Another thing that i would like to see is some more flags, like a de voted flag to a bike down on the track (maby waving yellow) as well as a devoted flag for oil and one for a hazzard off track.... but you will not need to care about that for like another 11 months...

Yeah I already mentioned that, I noticed a lack of flag stations compared to down here, ohh and the 'blue' flag is bloody handy (warns you are about to be laped/passed at sped)

So where would you add more flag stations in a way that they would be protected in the case of a crashing bike? Just woundering...

Hey Scriv,

Fantastic race meeting yet again. Thanks to you and Chris for inviting our team to this event again and thanks to all your volunteer staff for making this event a huge success. Very professionally run and well executed.

Thanks,

Hi everyone,
Chris Lawrance and I have decided to put our necks on the line again, and once again hold the Taupo Road Race Spectacular this year.
Please find the entry form attached.
Hope you can all make it - great value for money! (and you may even walk off with a spot prize too!!)

Cheers,
Scrivy
