Anybody interested in a short 213km ride today?

Dang it was suppose to be a fine weekend! :argh: I only get every 2nd weekend off.

The weather at the mo is overcast but at least it ain't raining! a little bit windy but nothing to worry about.

There doesn't seem to be hardly any rides posted for Waikato on here..but everywhere else..

I don't ride often as i would like, 213km might seem too short for most, but i get quite sore after 2 hours or more of riding, so i gotta just keep at going for longer rides, to get use to it. Most kms i've done in one trip was 244kms.

It would be good to sit behind some experienced riders and learn somethings along the way in the twisties!. I've still got my L plate, haven't had the cash to get my restricted yet, just got a wof and new front tyre recently. But don't let the L plate put you off, its just there for decoration.

Anybody interested in coming along?... Maybe a little bit late notice, but might be some Waikato riders lurking on here who might be keen..

I thought a meeting point (as per map) is next to a school in Cambridge would be a good spot.

What about meeting up around noon this afternoon? Open to suggestion on changing meeting time if ness.

Please reply if you are interested, doesn't matter if its only a couple of riders, better than riding alone eh. As stated would be good to have some experienced riders along.

As an alternative you could turn off after Arapuni and head back up Oreipunga Rd and onto Maungatautari Rd on the return trip back into Cambridge.

Just a thought...I am going to be at that other dam(forgot the name of it) just down the road from Centenial Park at Taupo. Im taking my boy for a ride to show him the dam when they open it at 2pm. If anyone is riding that far down we could meet up?

Ok, i've changed the route as Krusti suggested, according to the map its shorter, some 197kms but could divert as per Goblins suggestion. But at present no other riders are onboard, prolly cause its late notice and people
already have plans or out on the road already.

Might push back the meeting time back.

Aratiatia Dam....Take your wet weather gear me thinks. :bye::D Well we didnt need the wet weather gear! Just a little moisture at Atiamuri. We went down Broadlands to Aratiatia then to Huka Falls and home via Tirahanga(?)road and passed the Bullring then onto Upper Atiamuri. My boy hasn't stopped giggling since he got off the bike.
