Okay, ladles and jellyspoons, here be some pixel percolated for your perusement and enjoyment from today's trip out!

Many thanks for KevfromCoro putting up his demesne for the slumbering pack of bikers (gosh its a hard life to travel only 50 or so kms from Kaiua to Thames! :innocent:)

Pic1 : The ubiquitous BP Botany bares its charms for all to see
Pic2 : Kaiaua attack plan - eat an apple to recharge batteries, talk shite, kick tyres and get to Kaiaua!
Pic3 : Mussel collecting for lunch "You go down" "No you go down first!" :o Oo-er!
Pic4 : What's the bag limit for them shellfish? No, you want the greenlipped! Not the black ones (racism rears its ugly head!)
Pic 5 : A bucket of mussels, alive, alive O! Funny thing, we were so eager to eat them, they weren't cooked properly yet - bunged them on the barbie and they got baked good n'proper! Luvverly!
Pic6 : And don't they look like old people in a rest home? Sheesh! Get out and ride yer bikes!

Pic1 : Mmmm bikes, tasty ... and there was a Ducati that turned up later on and it wasn't McJim! But it spoke like him! :eek5:

Pic2 : EJ "So what do you think about today?" "Sorry EJ, it's crap - I saw a cloud and this sun is making the road too easy to see" "Yeah EJ, riding on a weekday while others are slogging away trying to earn a crust, it's crap, it truly is"

Now I ain't staying at Kev's place tonight, 'cause my snoring is so loud it'd wake the dead - but just an excuse for me to go ride my bike more! Will take more piccies later! Watch this space for ... Ninja Masterclass Theatre!

I spy with my little eye a very familiar GSX250... I hope you've been studying for these IATA exams we've got coming, as well as soaking up the sun there Outlaw!

Tomorrow there shall be a shiny red Bandit to add to the show. :)

Oeeee I forgot to tell... I had A bit of a problem on my way back:doh: !!!... I was in North Shore, took the grevil rd exit, went through the roundabout at the speed about 40km/hr and All of sudden My back skidded out to the left, then to the right then to the left and so on(Didn't drop the bike:niceone:). so I started decelerating and slightly applied my front brake. as soon as I stoper I had a look at my rear tire and It was flat :crybaby: so I pushed my bike to the nearest Petrol station, got the tire filled with air, drove to home, and by the time I got home It got flat again.:pinch:

Yea, I did. It would be like between 4~6pm I did Coro town to Whitianga. I did see someone on a black GT250R. Where were you?

4-6pm, we would have been between Whangamata and Paeroa. Those were some awesome pics you took mate. Was an awesome day for it aye.

Friday ride was good value. Nice to meet some more KB riders, even if most of them were from Aukers.

Can see how the loop is a mecca for bikers, and at the same time a death trap for the unfortunate. Even in our fairly conservative group we had a few incidents I noted that could have turned ugly given a chance. A quick revisit to the posts around Dec 06 is very sobering after the highs of riding the loop with a bit of pace on from time to time.

Anyway good one EJ for organising a good group ride. Hope the students don't go hungry this week after blowing the budget. Good luck Scracha with the racing, enjoyed reading your racing blog that I came across today. Sounds like some good (expensive) fun. That road along the Kaimais is top notch. Mikey and myself enjoyed that one even though he had to cruise to conserve what gas he had left (hence a detour to 2mats for gas) :niceone:

It must have been another blackbird that I saw then.

4-6 sounds a bit later on, as deano said.

If I was shorter I'd be racing buckets. Feasibly, a student could do bucket racing. In fact, quite a few do.

F3 aint too expensive to have a play in the middle of the pack. $1500 on a $hite old 400, blag some used slicks of the fast guys and away you go. It's the fuel, accommodation and entry fee's that swallow up the peso's.
