Hi

Well my name is Kris,
as you can see my handle is kermit12a as gadgit was taken :-( oh well hi to gadgit good name :-)

I have only had a bike for 8 months. Till it was stolen. It was a 1986 Honda NS250R. Fun bike you had to ride it and it was not all that forgiving if you made a mistake unlike some of the newer ones I have had very short plays on.

I am currently on the hunt for a new one to replace it I am looking at the Suzuki GSX250 and Yamaha FZR250. If anyone has any pro's and con's to these bikes your feedback would be most appeserated. Or if I should be looking at something else. I do not have alot of capital to outlay for a new bike so sort of have to go with what is avalible in my price range but will take onboard any info that is given to me.

Well that is alittle about me.

have a great day

Welcome along kermit12a! Bummer about your bike getting stolen mate, that really sucks.

Use the search function on the site to read about what others have had to say about the bikes you are thinking about, and of course dont hesitate to ask for advice anytime.

Word of caution tho......be afraid of the crazy folk that spend time here, odd bunch the lot of them

I'd probably go for the FZR250 coming from a two smoke 250, the GSX would seem too tame for you.

Im guessing you had a kermit green 'tang of some sort... what was/is the 12a in?

I so wish I had a 12a. Na it was one of my addresses and it has stuck.

Thanks. Yeah I did like the kick that the 2smoker had.

Had a mean acceleration on her when you hit 6k:niceone:

Welcome, and better luck with your next bike, whatever you choose.
One factor in choosing might be how long you still have to do until your full if you have been riding 6mnths plus. A tamer cheaper bike might do if its less time before you can trade up.

Hey Kermit! Welcome.
Good luck with your bike shopping!
I've got a 150 for sale, if you wanted to continue the 2-stroke theme :blip:
