unbelievable! talk about going backwards!

perhaps the guy wants to keep the 996 motor for another project but needs to sell the bike to make some bucks?

perhaps he blew up the original and could only afford 4th best?

perhaps he's an escapee from an insane asylum?

i reckon the last one........................

why would ya but a boat anchor in a duke Nothing wrong with a TLR motor,it was the rest of it that was the problem, that boat anchor would make your 9 look like it was going backwards.

Awesome, I had a simular idea a few years back. You get the ducati handling without the highly strung pms unit with is a ducati motor. I'd buy it, and I bet is sells well to.

If you do something to a bike and it improves a few characteristics, its all good.

"why would ya but a boat anchor in a duke?" Bloody ironic coming from a guy with a buell!

I don't see anything wrong with it, to be honest. IIRC the TLR block's a powerful bugger, but attached to a frame that likes straight significantly more than corners. Putting it in a Duc frame would fix that and presumably make the Duc easier/cheaper to service.

Would be a pain in the arse to do, but if someone else has done it???

big problem with this description-he's selling a ducati that's:
"not overly loud" ...the ducati has started to die right there...

i def. don't like the idea... i like the italian parts mashing away down there :sweatdrop...don't want no smoooveness... although fixing the suzuki look with a ducati aesthetic...well maybe it had to be done:laugh::devil2::devil2: (waiting for the whip-lash from suzuki's family members...:corn::corn: )

Think Squiggles was telling me of his intention of putting the TLR engine into his TLS.
