Birthday tomorrow and I have no booze or bike that can be ridden far.
Might take the TV out to the garage and pretend to ride my bike on the track during the racing.

It may be an associate of mine who I rode in tandem with in the Westpac rescue chopper fundraiser ride. He works in the area but is not an active KB member. He can ride Saturdays for short rides but not Sundays.
I must remind myself to call him and see if he is keen on a group ride sometime.

Never... it keeps your attention sharp... as long as you dont make contact
An old fella (aged 86) who rode a 600cc AJS in the 1960's told me it was riding his bike on the backroads that kept him alert and alive (many of our roads were gravel in those days as you will remember :bleh: )

Vague memories of the gravel in the 60's, but then I'm not as old as you :bleh::ar15:

Too big for my taste.
All that extra weight holding the engine's true power back.(109, VTX, VN2000, ect) But will be good fun regardless.

Don't you believe it, VTX .109. VN 2000 . XV 1900 are all bloody good bikes that have power to burn. The weight of them makes them hold the road soooo well & as the weight is down low they doesn't feel heavy. :msn-wink:

Feeling heavy and Being heavy are two different things mate.
Imagine the power plant of the M109 in the frame of the Buell.
All that HP and torque and bugger all weight for it to have to move.

yeah, but then you would need a wing on it to keep it on the tarmac  Rode a Kwaka superbike years ago that was like that, tons of grunt and light as a feather, kept wanting to fly... and I didnt have a chute..
give me power, weight and good balanced COG and a comfy ride, a sweet mix.

Not quite.
The 109 far outpowers the KTM dude.
Think more along the lines of what Yamaha did with the Road Warrior motor in the MT-01.

lol the XB12S I took for a spin had that problem too. Was quite fun actually.
Every gear had the front end lifting when power shifting. Never would hve thought the Harley Sportster had that much power.
