the bike has sat around for a while but with my boys getting their learners its getting a work out, tonight my boy calls saying the bike is conking out and wont restart, i went out to rescue him and tried the starter and away it goes so he starts to ride home and a few ks down the road it conks out again, so we wait a couple of minutes and away it goes again, i think its got a blockage in the fuel filter thats restricting the flow into the carb and after a minute its full enough to start again...am i right??

yep....nz250's a notorious for there tanks rusting in the inside...take the tank off at some stage...give is a massive clean out...and you can get a epoxy [I think??] resin type product from most automotive stores...and you stick it in the tank and roll it around...and it seals the tank on the inside...
