View Full Version : What kind of biker are you?
Bob
18th October 2007, 08:34
UK bike insurer Bennetts has launched an online ‘calculator’ to show what kind of biker you are.
Bennetts commissioned Dr Murray Griffin, a sports psychologist and biking enthusiast from the University of Essex to analyse the data from more than 2,000 bikers, which has been turned into five main biker ‘tribes’.
Apparently, Gordon Brown should be riding a Harley, David Cameron a sports bike, but both Simon Cowell and Lewis Hamilton should be riding scooters (!)

firstly it was a BMW tourer...UGH!

Well that was a funny kind of quiz! They asked my eye colour but not my gender, then gave me a list of male British celebrities and asked me to choose which one I identify with. Do I look like Richard Hammond?!
Anyway, I chose "commuting to work" as my main reason for wanting a bike and it gave me this profile:
You are a Rossi Rev Head ...longing to get your knee down on a sports bike! A brave biker, speed, power and image are the most important things to you when looking for a bike. An expensive hobby, you live and breathe superbikes, looking up to the world-class riders from Moto GP, World Superbikes and British Superbikes, often attending biking events and meetings. You enjoy living life on the edge and this is likely to be a final fling before settling down or an exciting way to relive your youth!

There was another one of these on KB some time ago, that one had more questions I think. They were probably more pertinent too. Eye colour?
Anyway last time my recommended bike was an FJR Yamaha which didn't upset me at all.
Despite the limited questions this time I score an R1200RT. That's funny because I was talking to Experience BMW this week and part of the conversation was about RTs...

Your ideal bike : Yamaha R1
