Note: this will start on the thursday the first of november. and hope every week after that.

where: 3 Maun Rd Whangarei
outside Maunders Suzuki.

when: every thursday, meet up at 6pm.

as always we will make the ride up on the night.

Has been pretty much week-night rides as far as I know but we did do a Sat ride up to Russell a couple of months ago. Keep an eye out for more weekend rides. Where in the north are you?

Saturday. Plan ta leave Whangarei 9am ta arrive in time for the 12noon Assemble. Will wait until 9:25am for riders wanting ta join me, but will leave 9:30am sharp if ya have not joined up by then. This ride is to promote safer barriers for road users (especially us riders), so please make an effort ta support it even if ya have ta come in a "Cage".

It will be at 37a Anzac Rd, right in town, and we have lots of parking for bikes inside and loads of covered sausage eating area. I guess it would be fair to bring a plate, so if anyone wants to drop stuff off before the ride, that will be cool. Also have beds for anyone who wants or needs it. Be nice if we can have some idea of who will make it.

Work Van has broken an oil ring:doh: and I'm madly trying ta organise another motor for it. The van had a 4Y Toyota petrol in it and I have been informed that a 3Y will bolt up in to it. Have found a 3Y which I hope will do for $400 and am aiming ta get it out to the van this arvo. Having ta do the job myself because no shop will be able ta touch it until next week. I can't afford that lost of work time (can't really afford ta do what I am doing now, but will have ta wear it anyway).
Why is it that just when I am getting close ta replacing "Roxanne" stuff like this keeps coming along ta f*ck things up?

Thank you from me too:first: Was all unpacked & put away by about 3pm, except for the computer & TV, which I left to Doug :innocent: He had to go out to work for a while:bye: We'll organise a house warming/BBQ some time, once we know we are staying put. This is No.4 in 1yr & for me No.9 in four yrs so I don't want to put the mockers on a party if we have to move again so soon.

Replaced the Chain and Sprockets yesterday so that I could ride today only ta see that "Roxanne's Tyres are a bit worn out:slap:So with it drizzling, I'm going ta have ta skip riding today (Bugger).

Looked in my Dairy to find I've got 17,800miles (28,700km) out of the last chain & sprockets, so not too bad for a medium to cheap set.

Last set of Z6 tyres were 5,400miles (8,700km) ago, so not the 10,000km I have got out of them before but I am running 2-up more often now. Have set of Z6's wait for me at Planet Honda ($550 for the pair fitted) so will sort that after the Weekend so that I'm set for next Thursday (I hope).

That is one cool ride, we did it one year, I was on my GN. Was running a tad late and arrived after the roads had been closed. We cruised up the service lanes behind the shops until we got close to the paraqde line up. A security bloke allowed us to join up :2thumbsup

So we crossed the footpath through the crowd and landed fair and square at the front of the parade, here we were, 2 sprots bikes and a little old GN amongst all the hairy, black leather clad, Harley bikers at the front :o

Well that was an awesome ride thanks Laava, Tie and their sidekicks. Just what Blue Babe, "Roxanne" and I needed. Bit wet at the start but still awesome. Fined up as we headed out Patua North. Sweet over ta Patua South back ta the Parua Bay Pub for a beer, lunch and BS session.
BB, "Rox" and I headed back home via Mt Tiger (which was in sweet condition for a change). Got home in totally awesome mood (which seems ta have been buggered by the Teens already and they aren't even back themselves yet).

Got a new set of Pilot Powers on the 14 yesterday after doing 12,200kms on the first set, Im pretty pleased with that effort but oh its bloody nice having proper tyres on again.

Got a new PP 2CT rear tyre from Maunders last week and went down to South Head Friday night, came back this morning fantastic tyre would recommend it to anyone.

would have been better if 3 of us didnt lose the rest of them. but the pizza barn was definately the place to be for some reason. it was packed. food pricey but ok. great place for me being so close to kaiwaka.
but a huge thanks for Mike ( the muggins ) Maunder for bring out 4 yes 4 test Bikes.
bandit, gsxr1000k7 or is it an 8?, same with the Hyabusa looking hot, and the B King. so alot of fun was had by many, and i do believe their was an advocate writer on the run so this thursday or next thursday's paper look out on the motoring section. could be world famous in northland.

wont be able to make this thursday's ride will be planning on camping at uretiti beach for a week. but hope to make next thursday. if anyone is in the area im sure ill have an ale about, just give me heaps of warning.

Ive done a ride report comparision against the 14 if anyone is interested. Oh, and it was great to do some Norfland roads today. Went down Otaika Valley Road (new gravel yuck), then to Tikipunga, through Vinegar Hill Road, then up Pipiwai Road, down Kokupu Block Road, though Kara Road then back to town, 85kms all up, was great.
