That Friday feller looks like he only has one trick - the jab to the cut above Shane's left eye.
Go Shane - it'd be nice to see a white fella at the of the world rankings who doesn't have to punch people in the nuts to win fights.

He was looking good, seemed to cop almost all the punishment after he got cut the second time. Can't see how you can train for that, other than obviously not getting hit... :girlfight:

Game over! :(
Never seen a couple of fighters slip and slide so badly and I competed off and on for 8 years. Shocking.
Good on Friday non the less Agreed........to be honest i thought it was so bad they might have had a clean up.Did a bit when a young fella myself.Anyone remember Perry Rackly?

Geez, I was hoping he would hold on the last minute, but oh well, what a battle! That is why I always love watching Cameron fighting. Friday didn't seem to be fighting much, had his moments, but was just pluggin, not very interesting boxing from him, but he won, so good on him.

Great fight but didn't enjoy the ending much. Should have been stopped in round 8 (?). When the second cut got opened and mr Cameron was staggered. That Friday geezer lived up to his hype.

Yep great fight. Cameron can hold his head up high.
Maybe the commentator was right in that it was a big ask to beat Friday. Needed Coupla fights in between maybe?
That Friday was a good cunning fighter. He seemed to rest a round then fight a round to my eyes and he had it at the end when it counted.
Damn good brave show by Shane Cameron though hopefully they won't see those cuts as a limitation to his career!
The ring surface was a bloody shocker someone should have there balls extracted for nearly wrecking the fight!!!

Shame for Cameron, he gets hit too much.
Those cuts will just keep coming as the opposition gets better.
Remember he was getting cut bad even fighting mugs.(not good)
The most perfect horse with bad feet, is just another dog tucker.
Good honest fighter, should quit now and do something else. John.

Yeah gotta agree with you there John.
Those cuts are a liability. Every fighter who watches that video will know where to beat him now.

completely disagree. If they had stopped it in R8 there would be big questions all over the place. Esp when cameron knocked that last guy out when he had a broken hand. Once of them needed to hit the canvas hard for the fight to be stopped. Cameron just needed to stay out of the way for another minute and he would have been right but got tagged big time. I dont think he even saw the second knockdown coming. Just stood up for long enough to wipe the blood out of his eyes.
Lets hope that is not the end of his career cause we know how quickly NZ drop sportmen who arent winning all the time.

Shane Cameron for UFC world champion ;P.
{Absoutely gutting, I've watched every one of his telivised fights. Undoubtedly the blood in his eyes was what lost him the fight, it seems that his eyebrows are the only part of him that isn't in pristine physical condition}

Can he get his eyebrows cauterised (serious question) coz it seems to be that he was severely hampered by his inability to see.
NZ boxing also needs to get their shit sorted in allowing that ring surface. What a joke! Even the ref had trouble keeping his feet. I think it took a lot away from what the fight could have been.

Just like everyone else has said unfortunately Cameron gets cut to easily.
The stuff he took early on was nothing but it still opened him up. Fatigue, blood, sweat and the pain every time Friday tagged him was just to much and he wouldn't have been able to see them coming.

I think the fight would have been different had they been able to keep their feet. Cameron may or may not have won, maybe Friday could have scored more big hits because every time Friday set up to throw a punch, he slipped. But I do think the fight would have been over quicker. :girlfight:

I get your point but the guy that Cameron knocked out with the broken hand was nowhere near the class of Friday. They're consenting adults and I love it that fully grown men are willing to pound each other for my entertainment, but Shane took too much damage. He was always in with a chance but he wont have many more fights like that in him. Not without some permanent damage occurring.

The condition of the ring was a bloody disgrace and while the corners are at fault, the ring officials should not allow it to happen.
I admire Cameron's courage in taking that gamble, it almost paid off too.
I thought Cameron fought well but like Henry Cooper, former British heavy weight who decked Cassius Clay, (later known as Mohamed Ali) he could never get past his cut eyes and his opponents plundered them.
Cameron's style causes him to take too many hits, he's a tough cookie but will soon be walking on his heels if he keeps boxing, it's just not worth that.(IMHO) John.
