Racism on KB Forum

Not been on this forum long. Only a few posts (suppose that makes me less of a biker in some peoples eyes eh?).
But the racist bullshit on this site saddens and appalls me. So I've decided to piss off and not bother with KB. Now this site certainly does not need me, I dont need it. I certainly dont need to suffer the offensive rubbish that often gets posted here.
I've been riding 25 years and rode in many countries with all kinds of people. Some of them I've liked, some not. But I've never needed to measure thier worth by the colour of thier skin or cultural beliefs.
I have found that thier is always a certain element in the biker community who believe that the 'white power" thing makes them real bikers. Probably grew up reading Easyrider or Outlaw Biker magazines. Often found them to be unfortunates, tend to look for easy targets to blame thier own inadequacies on.
Others I have met simply hold a huge sense of entitlement and believe all the toys should belong to them and only they should make the rules.
This forum seems to have an abundance of the above, some idiot even managed to get in some racist idiocy in a post about people doing roadworks outside his house recently.
Anyway, no one forces any of us to be here and I'm exercising my judgement.
If anyone wants to talk about the above my names Phil, I ride a BMW R1200C. I dont hide my identity or what I believe behind some nickname or forum title.

Every KB ride I've been old has had white, black, purple, yellow, even multicoloured (gijoe hoho) riders. We seem to get on in harmony, we also seem to know when a dig is just light hearted banter on the forums.

But then again, if you frequented this site a bit more often and went on some rides before voicing your opinion, you'd probably know this too.

So yeah, that does make you less of a biker to me.

It's a pity that these racist remarks have coloured your first impressions of Kiwbiker mate. I have seen a bit of shit round here, but mainly by drop kicks whose posts I just skip over now, and don't read.

That's a pity Phill W. I can't speak for others but on here I'll slag all and sundry for whatever reason but out on the road I'll give them the shirt on my back if it will them get home safely. I love those magz. And 50 others. Yes there is "White Power" in NZ. But so is there "Black Power" (not the gang!!) All to their own. A biker is a biker (Not to be confused with a Commuter, do the search) I help them all, I have a beer with them all. The ones I like are the ones who have clear opinions. I care not what they are. As long as they stand for them. The only thing that gets me is bikers who think they are a class above...

Many years ago a wise teacher was very tough on any of his pupils who wrote anything racist. Yes there is. Racism is a valid concern for many people, so the thread stays. Maybe we have been overly lenient on some of the posts, so I'll look into that part.

My Brother (through adoption) is Maori, has definatly been on the recieving end of it and I have also worked as an expatriot for quite a few years now. So I have seen it and also been on the recieving end of it too. Its very ugly indeed. So do I think racism (the generally accepted term) is ignorance. You betcha..! And I challenge anyone to try to convince me that it could be a form of enlightenment (as one angry contributer here has hinted). For what its worth, I have seen just as many knuckle draggers in my own country (NZ) as in the third world. So, in my view, jumping on to this forum, one about racism or any other and just blatantly typing Nigger, mildly disguised with black humour, (though many a true word said in jest) is not an acceptable form of debate or humour.
