Well, t'was a good day for a ride with pressies for the Sallies. I blatted over to meet up with Donor and Blue Thunder etc. al and we rode to the rally meet point.
By this stage I was getting lots of strange looks and double takes by the general public :innocent:
Anyhows, did the usual park and wait and perve at bikes (for some reason I really like the old school bikes! Must be Xerxesdaphat having an influence on me!)
Ride to North Shore was short and sweet, parked bikes up, wandered over to drop off soft fluffy toys and perved at bikes again. Met some other KBers and was delighted to see a couple of more Hornets around
Got my photos taken with a bunch of bikers ... and it was due to my attire (for some reason, I thought we would be dropping off pressies to the kiddies in person and I just wanted to dress for the occasion! :stupid: ).
After the ride there, went to East City cycles, did a pootle around the back blocks, had lunch at my olds takeaway (Donor will elaborate more) and then taunted zeocen due to his noobness at bike maintenance (zeocen will elaborate more).
Finally, we did a last ride with Crashe, Insane1, Donor and I ... some peeled off early to go home and I went with zeocen ... only to run out of gas on Daisy! :o Turns out I plumb forgot that I had switched it to reserve to give the pipes a good use ... Donor to the rescue again! (He will elaborate more).
Right, time for piccies ...
Pic1 : A fine speciman of a man ...
Pic2 : Pika-pika Pikachu pika pika! (*"Hello again! It's been a while since I've gone out on a ride with some spiffing people!")
Pic3 : And a few of pikachu's friends volunteered to make some kiddie's day a little more brighter! (Lovey Bear, Hopalong the rabbit and Porridge the bear)
Pic4 : Just you know who with pikachu's friends about to be donated!
Pic5 : No ninja, just a toy bounty hunter ... :innocent:

Hmmm, less verbose, less discombobulated words ... gijoe1313 ... do those concepts even seem mellifluous? I shall and not be so advant garde in my bellicosity of the written text and instead, stoop to conquer by retrograding my retorts to a retainable manner, suitable for those of less delusions of grandeur in their prose... did it again!

Well what can one say.......
There I was standing on the other side of the parking area, after checking out a few bikes and chinwagging with a few mates, when I looked up.......!
Yee gawds what was that over yonder......... OH NO !!!!!! It's not is it?
Yes it is, I hung my head and shook it...... I had to cover my eyes...
It was gijoe1313 all dressed up as a 'action doll'
So over I wandered to check it all out, as one does.
To be intercepted by DONOR...... who was wearing his white singet (with his lily white arms - see comment re this in another thread) and then he proceeded to show off his 'man boobs'......... Oh gawd, this was getting to be too much........... He did however quickly cover them up (thank goodness) ........ and gave me a hug. He really is nice and cute when he gives a hug or two.
Donor insisted on showing me his new bike (cos I hadn't seen it yet), so naturally I checked it out and even sat on it (with his kind permission).
Nice bike, and I can reach the ground, just needs to change those handlebars and the bike will look good in my garage.
And back to checking out master gijoe....... yep all kitted out in dress up clothes...... he had managed to escape from home that morning without his mummy seeing him. He did look good thou......
A couple of asian guys stopped to take a few pictures to send them back to China to his perspective bride to be........
I was introduced to 'Blue Thunder' (nice mo) and then LTeejay, klingon popped over to say gidday, MacD and partner wandered over to say hello but I noticed they disappeared real fast after seeing gijoe....... to go and look at the bikes.
I rode most of the way, but shot off at Esmonde Rd and came back out west as I had a funeral to attend......
Afterwards insane1 and I got hold of Donor and headed out to his place..... following his text message instructions...... so we found out there is 3 sets of lights not 2....... and eventually found his home. Got to meet the lovely Mrs Donor and she sat on my bike to check it out for size..... Donor made me a nice cuppa tea and we chinwagged for a bit until the 'HELP' text came throu.....
zeocen was all alone at home with a broken bike, all his other mates had deserted him.......... awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
So a rescue ride was on......... grabbing footpumps and a few tools...... master gijoe lead us....... Yep it was a long tiki-tour throu all the back roads that he could find..... and Donor and insane1 fixed it as a joint effort.
Then checking the time, we went for a short ride.......
I had made a promise to Mrs Donor that Donor would be back inside his home by 8pm...... and he made it...... *phew*.
Cheers to Donor for getting me back to Gt South Rd so that I could get back to the motorway.
Just as I got on the motorway I spotted a young golden lab on the side of the motorway, so I do hope that someone in a car rung the pound or police to get it picked up..... it was wearing a collar, and it was scavenging food (typical of labs). The ride was nice all the way back home........ but did spot two cops cars racing going the opposite direction, so maybe they were off to pick up and arrest the pooch!!!!

I am now firmly convinced that somewhere, a psycology student is gathering enough information for a complete thesis, using gijoe1313 as the basis...

how many bikes turned up?
412 were counted in to the destination. But maybe 20 or 30 peeled off on the way, so maybe 450 at the start.
