Quiet Monday ride...

Today at some un-godly hour i was called by Training Wheels to go on our what is turning into a monday tradition.. while all you guys are off to go earn money we are gearing up and heading west on a ride:banana:

so after pulling my ass out of bed at errr 10am i head for BP Kumeu knowing EJ and Chocolate Wheels are not far off from meeting us, Arrive in time to fill up and have a sausage roll, coke and ciggie as the boys pull in, short brief of who does what and we are away....

head up 16 to hellensville (avoiding roadworks) then up onto Woodcocks road!
change of lead rider and away we go again through the oh so smooth twisties gaining confidence with every bend!
we come to the hair pin where we stop for photos and another ciggy.....

eventually we get back on the road for home, some went off to the monday night ride and some went home.....

no doubt be heading off for another monday ride again soon!

What the hell! There was a ride on Woodcocks road and I missed it! AND even worse, I am on holiday at the moment and would have truly gone, (unlike the vast majority of full of shit people that say, "text me next time mate, I'll come")!

yes now that EJ has "come out" :gob: i can tell you that we spent 3 hours sitting on the side of the road in the rain and sun waiting for the kitty to arrive with help.... after mixed up road signs directions and what not we were back on the road and off home....

..i admit i had to stop in orewa for a dirty big ben pie i was too hungry to make it all the way out east after not eating all day.......

Training Wheels you still owe us lunch for next time :clap:

Guess what! I'm now riding (well sort of) a pair of Adidas "runner" in black! :Punk:

triple stitch, breathable material, and genuine leather!

It's not that fast but quite comfortable for short trips. Still heaps of treads left lol

It's ideal for "footpath" terrains. :Punk:

Make sure you hound them once you get it in EJ. My insurance has been pretty good but they're slack as. If you don't call them your claim will just sit on their desk until you do.

Which reminds me to ring and organise a time to go pick up my cheque :woohoo:
