Hey guys, just wondering what the wind buffeting on a naked RG150 is like, my fairing got munted and i need to remove it to get ti welded together. Was thinking bout leaving it off till i ride better....so to all RG150 owners whats the bike like without the fairing. Rideable and probably still awesome lol
Cheers, Ride Safe

I haven't been on a naked RG, but I recently switched from a similar bike to yours, to a naked bike, and at around 100-110 I don't really notice much difference in the amount of wind buffeting. On longer trips on the sherpa I notice a bit of gentle pressure on my chest from the wind, but otherwise it seems fairly similar to the KR was.
Is the headlight attached to the front cowling on the RG? I briefly considered taking the fairings off the KR, but I would have to make up new headlight and indicator mounts and I was too lazy.

The RG will be fine with out the fairing, you may get bumped around a little bit more when you go past trucks. Other then that, I couldn't see any thing else happening. The indicators are attached to the top fairing, are you able to attach them any where else? The headlight screws onto the frame, so that's not a problem.
The person to ask on here would either be Ajturbo or Billy, both those guys race and know a lot more about the RG's then me

My RG's Naked.
No difference at all. Maybe a little in top speed tho. Gotta keep the top fairing on it tho unless you have aftermarket indicator's and mirror's (There's thread's on the clip on's u can put trial bike mirror's on if you wish.)

i really didn't think anyone had noticed..:woohoo:
but although i "race" (cough, cough) them and have 3 in my garage, i have not ridden one without the fairings...

You can bolt the mirrors to the front sub-frame so you can still see what's behind you but you will have to :
a/ find somewhere to fit the existing indicators.
or
b/ buy some aftermarket indicators and find somewhere to fit them.
It should have 37hp which is about the same as a 250 bandit and it's naked so I don't see any problems.
