Yayee,
Today was D day, or should I say do the test day. Major butterflies like most of you doing tests (any kinda test the old nerves go squiffy). Grandad looked after the boys and the weather stayed calm (the rains forecast didn't arrive). Test instructor was a cool cucumber, no earpiece so did the test following instruction and watching for signals from the car following.
Anyway passed with flying colours, so glad that's done and yayee I get to ride my shiny red GSX750F now legally. I did the right thing and only rode her up and down the drive until I got my full license:innocent:
What an early Xmas pressie, thanks for all those that have helped me on my road to having a full bike license, you know who you are.
Big hugs
Christine

Good on ya! :niceone:
I think I'm allowed to sit my full now too...was it more difficult than the restricted test or about the same?
Take care with the extra power...:scooter:

Thanks all!
Test was pretty similar to the Restricted (I had to do a U turn in that one). Basically a bit longer, same stuff - checking your riding and obeying stop/give way signs, then a bit of open road riding, hazard awareness and bobs your Uncle. Yayee, less stressful than I anticipated.

Well done,at least the government can't stop testing in Southland like the tech.
Now you will wonder what the fuss was about re nerves, usually they go the moment ya put gloves on,after all it's not as if you haven't ridden before.
Personally I see no excuse why people don't get their licences, sure can take a while but even restricted is better than none, mind you I hated the 70 km rule and still do for learners etc.

Yep, sadly the Frog will have to find a new home, two kiddies to feed and the frogs now the odd one out in the garage (no learners here for her and we can't afford to keep a spare bike). Much loved bike and will be sadly missed....http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?bikead=yes&p=1344745

(I've only had my learners for about 5 years...shame!)
Took me more than a decade to get off my learners, purely from lazyness :-)
Well done Chickadee, welcome to the world of being able to break every speed limit without changing out of first gear!

You could always buy 'Crazy Frog' and add her to your stable of bikes.....
She would love to stand next to all the other girls in your stable.

Not too heavy, made sure I could reverse and sit on her comfortably before buying my wee metallic cherry bike. Looking forward to getting to know her better now I've got the license to match the CC rating.
