Hi, I'll be in CHCH town for couple of days in mid January (not for pleasure but business) and I'll be needing a transport to go around the town (Avonhead, City, Bishopdale, New Brighton etc etc....).

So, is there a cheap bike rental shop in CHCH that I can probably hire for a couple of days?

I've been thinking; Bus will take some time (but cheap), Taxi will be time-saving than bus but it will cost a fortune.

If so, Do you guys think I can hire a bike (250cc)? Age of 18 + Restricted license?

If I can't find one, then I'll have to catch some buses :(

Ah nevermind, I'll just take some bus lol

I heard many rental companies don't do business to someone whos less than age of 25.

The bus service is pretty sharp in CHCH. Something like $5 per day unlimited I think?

Perhaps one has a rental dept. A 100cc Scooter would be fine cruising
the suburbs you state.

That might work... I'll search it right now

If I can't find one, then I'll have to catch some buses :(As much as I hate to say it, the bus service here in Chch is exceptional, you'd be hard pressed to beat it if you only need alternate transport for a few days. On time, little display thingys at stops to tell you how many minutes wait, don't need cash... they've got there shit pretty well together.
