Rub your hands with lemon juice, and then wash as usual.

If that doesn't work, use white vinegar.

If that doesn't work, amputation.

Mix some chilli powder and vegetable oil and rub into your hands. This will dissolve the "stink". Wash off with soapy water.

Garlic can thin the blood and prevent fungus so I'd say have a wank.

If your really desperate, try putting turps or even meths on them, it'll also help dry out any painful calises you may have.

Found a good method for all you wanna be cooks.

Liquid soap, lather it up and let it sit for like 5 mins before washing off.

Dont even have to rub hard.

Asked your partner if they like garlic and cheese?

Does your keyboard now smell?

baking soda does the trick all right ... I've peeled bags and bags o'onions for the olds takeaway shop and I just grabbed a small amount of soda, give it a good ol'rub and wash it off easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I like having my hands smelling of cooking-stuff.
I love crushing garlic and cooking with onions, my hands smell for a whole day afterwards and I walk around smelling my hands.
People look at me real funny.
But I like it, they can go boil their heads.

Mite be an old wives tale but rub your hands on a stainless steel knife (the ordinary "knife and fork" type of knife.

P.S (If I was a really horrible person I would have suggested you to use a really big SHARP knife - for your "women in the kitchen comments") lol

The stainless steel thing is not really that silly. You can buy these stainless steel objects that you rub and they take fishy, curry, onion, garlic etc smells off your hands. Can probably find them in most Stevens and other home ware stores.

i think i read somewhere about washing hands in milk to get rid of onion/garlic smell but i've never tried it, as i don't mind smelling like a woman  What i have found helpful though is when chopping onions chew gum and your eyes wont water. Tried it once "chewing" without gum in my mouth (as I didn't have any in the house at the time) and it still worked. Just looked like an idiot camel standing at the sink!

I reckon the seamen would probably punch you in the nose and then throw you over the side of the boat if you tried to rub them on your hands.

Cheap shaving cream in the can is the best hand cleaner/deodourizer, found that out after I poked this chick and couldnt get the stink off my fingers
