hey, i need to do a top end rebuild on my mc21. I was thinking about ordering the 300cc kit from tyga, as i need to replace or repair the cylinders and heads anyway. Possiably going to rebuild bottom end and the dry clutch aswell ( depending on their current condition ). Just wondering if anyone has had experience with tyga? Good service, quality parts etc? after searching they seem pretty good but i thought i would ask to make sure.
Also is there anything else i may need? Will be ordering expansion chambers, and bikes premix so also the 2t plug + holder. Will the stock jets be ok etc?
Its going to be an expensive rebuild but should be worth it.
Thanks

I got some pipes from them a month ago, took about a week for them to get here. They are really well made and the welds are perfect, done by a robot with a laser I think.
It'll probably need bigger jets if its on premix and for the 300 kit to. My 28 using the oil pump has 145 mains (140 standard) with the pipes, chopped airbox lid and the flywheel advanced 2 degrees.

sweet, thanks for the replies. Will probably be ordering late this/early next week. Just orginising the funds. First rebuild, so i wont be the brains behind the op, just helping. Should be a good learning experiance.

Ok, original plan is not going to work. Any recomendations as to where to get this sort of work done?

hi, i just ordered and had installed on my nsr the 300cc kit, its great
things to note:
stock exhuast chambers will not bolt to 300cc heads and will have to modifyed.
or buy the matching chambers to suit
(which i found out after)
great service, nice kit too, alot nicer bottom and mid range power, just make sure you take it to a experienced 2-stroke tuner for a tune, most bike shops are useless, and without a correct tune, it will run like shit on stock carb settings,

Hey matey, wanna share what jets and needles you ended up with for your one? Might save our man a bit of trouble later  (or at least give him a base line to work from)

Thanks guys, the guy that was going to help rebuild it isnt sure he knows enough to tune it properly etc. And i defently dont. So i am looking for somewhere to get it done.
At this point i am going to order
300cc kit.
gp style expansion chambers.
bottom end rebuild kit.
clutch rebuild kit.
A few other bits and pieces.
Clutch and bottom end dont really need doing but getting a loan anyway so thought i might aswell.
If anyone could reccomend a good 2 stroke tuner in Hamilton or Auckland ( or near enough ) it would be a great help.
montsta56: I need a new top end; heads, cylinders, pistons, clips, bearings, rings etc. If you have anything your willing to part with i will probably be interested.

I know this is an old posting and you might have sold your NSR by now....
But did you ever find a good tuner of NSR's ?
I'm in the waikato.
