I find this strange too. Maybe the lack of the need to prove their bikes supports Jim2s theory of "female riders, their speed and everything else".
Lately I think that flame, str8, and Maxine (partner of Turbod Haybusa Dean) have been the only females... actually a Woman on a SV1000 was there couple times ago too (and pulled a scary wheelie off the line!)
Don't forget the Chick on the 1200 sporty that CANED in the standing quarter.
12 flat I think?

I intend to enter the next one, and you never know I might have a bigger bike by then ;)
If you'd run the 250 you would have cleaned up in the 250 class. Personally I think you need a 400 so you can take the Chick on 400 record off STR8:Pokey:

Hi Guys and Girls
Sean is going to be putting them up on the Cliffhanger website (now that I've sent him the results) and will be putting a link on here soon.
Sorry they are a bit late. I would have done them that night but had been up for 32 1/2 hours working through sat night and then going straight to the sprints.
These events are getting better and better. Now that we have the computer program nearly 100% right. Done by Myself (a little bit) and Steven (Boss at Kitty's) and the timing lights set up so we can run both ways. We can now get more runs in with quick and accurate times and speeds printed off straight after the run.
It was another great day and my thanks go out to all the Marshals that give up there time to keep the runs safe and things moving along as quickly as poss and the lovely girls on the BBQ for keeping me (us all) fed along with the uplifting cheers as I ran back and forward past them :D
Hope you all enjoyed it and here are all the fastest times for the flying and the standings. Just one note:- The speeds on the standing are just an average not a top at the end of the 1/4. We don't have a speed gun for that. (could be something worth looking into though!!!!!)

I'll bring Betty down next month if I can scrape together the cash for the trip. Be good to get a few runs in for something to compare against once I start getting some tuning done on her.
What's the story with licences? I'll still be on a suspension when the sprints are run (which shouldn't matter as it's on a closed road, right?) - does that mean I need to go get an MNZ licence beforehand or summat?

You can have the beer money if they let you enter that class and become fastest 400.
I just thought it was so cool that Malcolm's old Honda went so fast last time, it kind of made me smile being a Honda lover so I'm putting incentives on the table to get that bike out there again and that was in reaction to him saying he hadn't prepped it. Then when Str8 said she is still riding it the chance was there too for her to make it go fast too.
With my bro' being crook and other things I'm just away a lot at the mo' - actually away that weekend helping bro' in law shift house, then with my bro' again the following weekend, so once again I won't see these speed records broken, but its still easy to do bank transfers for prizes.

Most of us bucketeers won't be able to make the first sprints, but as long as Pammy is still running:spanking: (and as long as it's ok with the organisers) I challenge other bucketeers to a one chance standing start time challenge, so we get one run and whoever gets the fastest time wins the Bucket Standing. How does that sound? (I suggest one run cause the others probably don't want to stand around all day watching us stupid arses piddling about on our buckets, and it would probably take us half an hour to get down to the timing spot in the flying..)

If i can arrange it sir , i will not only take your $25.00 but i will stamp a record for the future tryhards to beat. :niceone:
I have calculated a top speed of 225 :bleh: if i have enough run up to use all the gearing i have available. (and a small tail wind lol )
Even with less than perfect conditions i will be able to go more than 200 k without worry. With my race gearing i calculated a top end of 175 k on Taupos back straight and thats just over 800 metres long so with a good run up and my higher gear ratio i have fun in mind lol.
What is the runup distance to 1/4 start mark for the flying ?????

Now can I take it from what Koba has told me, his fantastic Honda 400 with Str8 Jacket on board once again cracked 200, and was the fastest 400 so she wins all the beer money I offered and no doubt gets the 400 cup too?
I was out of town as planned and missed all the excitement but RROF how come you never got the CBR there?
