View Full Version : Pie-Cock Hill

Um, I'll be on the top of Pie-cock Hill at about 5pm on Friday the 19th of November, if anyone wants to meet me up there for a ride back to Wellington.
As I would have travled 550kms by myself it would be good to have someone to ride with back into Wellington. I can only stand my own company for so many hours before I feel like beating the crap out of my other personalities.

Oh! Long ride. :cool2:
I've been at work all day, if I bugger off early on friday I'll join the fun but don't count on it. (fuggin work)
Be bloody careful at that time on a friday arvo OK. Commuters use it as a rat run to avoid the highway and some of them get terribly confused as to which side of the road they are supposed to use!

Heh heh, I'm a commuter who uses the hill to avoid the rat run, esp Fridays coz the traffic sucks butt and now they're putting in the cheese grater on the coast road it's worse...
I'll be going over it the opposite way on the bike so will wave when I see fifty odd bikes going past...
Maybe I can meet up with MrMelon on the way and drag him up the hill too... He never needs much encouragement...

Don't be sorry! I thought it was pretty funny! And you should ride the Guzzi one day, your reality tree might be in for a good shake! Trouble with Guzzis is that you have to be really positive and confident with them and that takes time in the saddle. A short ride is nothing, you would probably hate it.
Having said that. On the windy bits of that hill I'd back my 1970 Triumph against the Guzzi. The straighter bits? well now.....
