You can see the light under the arm, the 2nd helmet is distinctly smaller than it would be for a pillion due to the perspective.

A small percentage of the exposure time was while you were in position 1, an even smaller percentage of that time while moving, and the bulk of the exposure time while in position 2. This explains the difference between the rider and the ghost. Also, the light would've been slightly different.

there is no right answer. it is what it is. I was Tail end charlie at that stage but Manwithav8 had stopped on the side of the road further up. I wasnt aware of anyone behind me.

So it is either the theroy with the slow camera (dont know why nothing else in the photo is ghosting) or manwithav8 tucked right in behind me just enough that you cant see his bike. I text him and he thinks he wasnt behind me but could just be stirring the pot.

No idea but looks cool and evil at the same time.

It looks like that is a hand holding on, under the left arm.

Do you have your pillion pegs down when riding by yourself?
Maybe one of the boys was watching over you on that ride.

Who ever it was was offcentre to your lean into the corner.....
like they corner differently to you.


EDIT: looking at the picture again...... that is a another bike and rider behind you.
Damn good shot to make it look like you had a pillion on the back.

It just illustrates how fast you move when you change position on the bike coming into a corner. Because the movement was across the line of sight from the camera it picked up the full effect. It's just a fluke of timing as to when the shot was taken.

Manwithav8 is the only one who could have been behind me (as I checked back on the video as I ride with a camera) and he was on the side of the road about a k before the photo was taken. 86gsxr just passed the ninja250 and I was setting up to follow. I text manwithav8 when I got the photo this morning and he said he wasnt behind me.

just for the record we watched some of this ghost thing late last night on tv and I turned it off saying it was full of shit. Mrs C thinks the photo is karma.

Quite possibly the bike has been crashed before. It has some plastic welding on the fairings that didnt come from me.
