Right i started a previous thread about a woman on my street yelling at me and how i thought it was rude. Then but especially since then i have made a consious effort NOT to speed on my road. Not that i did it a lot in the past but i mean a really really consious effort.
SO what happens today :shit: :shit:
This guy is backing a caravan into his driveway and so i am waiting for him to clear the road and then he signals me over. So i think what the hell i'll see what he wants. :Oi: :Oi: He starts going on about how he doesn't like my speed ing . THEN he threatens to quote "knock my block off" if i don't and i should "consider this my final notice" :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: And it gets worse, i know i havn't been speeding but his reason that he knows i am speeding was that "he used to own one of THOSE things and knows how fast they go" Bullshit did he own this particular bike does ke know buy the sound in which gear and revs and speed i am am going. :Oi: Question is what do i do now. My dad says i should just ignore him and CK says i should report it to the cops. I think i might just ignore it and hopefully he just backs the fuck off.

The thing that really bugs me is that these people who dare to give me shit both have young males with hoon-mobiles that i have seen do way worse (especially cutting corners on our road) Just REALLY PISSES ME OFF that thinks guy thinks he can tell me off like some kid. If i was a 40 year old guy he wouldn't dare.
Actually i am going to pop off to the police station to see what they think about it.

Dont worry about it, just ignore it and continue to not speed down your street.. If your keen, just take down what THEY do wrong (ie time, date, vehicle, person driving etc...) so you have some back up....

Ive had it happen to me a little bit..... and have ignored it, and everything is fine.....

lol, maybe not, but that seems to be the "method of thinking" in these parts of the wood. I find in general, most people are really keen to "have a go"! And it really pisses me off, I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.

And you're spot on, alot of people judge motorbike "speed", by the engine noise, which can depend on a number of things. Hey, next time you go home, speed up to 50km/h, pull the clutch in and KEEP it in, and redline the bike while rolling to your driveway. OFFICER, that guy was doing at least 150 when I saw him........ ignorant, agressive pricks!!!

Easy, always be polite, keep a quiet voice this will upset them even more. Thank them for their opinion and say that you will follow the example of his children, but stay on the correct side of the road. LOL

Being polite always grates the arseholes and dipshits of the world. You can easily call a person a dipshit in fancy words and I challenge all the fancy edge a catered persons to provide some of them fancy words.

20th November 2004, 15:01
Mangell6 has the right idea, lower your voice and speak very clearly, look them in the eye and don't show that you are totally pissed off at them... This also scares the shit out of the bastards as they are waiting for you to retaliate in the same tone/mood and you stymie them completely with your calmness.
By the way, this approach works VERY well in married life too....

While technically you may be correct, is it worth the hassle unless the threat is seriously considered to be acted upon?
The calm way and ignore as much as possible way is the best way for all concerned in the neighbourhood I reckon.

If he threatens to kill you, that is a criminal offence. Call him in if it goes that far. In the meantime, keep a file note of every conversation you have with him (or anyone else) with date, time and details recorded as soon as you can after the event. Dont exaggerate the exchanges but do record what exactly was said and any accompanying actions. Keep them.

You might also like to look up "projection" in your friendly neighbourhood psychology dictionary. In essence, it sounds like he has issues with his own young...and it reduces his sense of helplessness to take it out on you.

Stay calm and leave the persecution complex on their front doorstep, so you dont have to carry it around (these things get heavy, eh). Good luck.

Bullshit he used to own a bike - if he did he would no that riding fast is good clean fun. Dont worry bout him - he was also a she, and its PMS time or something.
If he does bother you - gimme his address, and i will turn up an say how disgusted i am at his lack of enjoyment for life.
Fight fire with fire i say. If you turn up with more or faster bikes its just going to make the situation worse.

Oh, FYI, most cars (esp old people cars) have higher top speeds then bike, esp if your 400 is restricted. So point out that, to the fucken moron.

Hey guys,

Hmmmm.... this reminds me of a story I once heard. Muhammad Ali once went to a Karaoke club had a few cold ones and began to sing. He was absolutely awful :puke: . And people were starting to leave. So the Karaoke owners wife says to the owner, "He is terrible we should ask him to stop." The Karaoke owner replies, " Yes, I know, but do you have the guts to go and tell him?".

I think the opposite of the above story appears to be the case here. Look aff-man. There are a lot of us KBer's here VERY WILLING to come down and help stop that guy knocking your block off.

How bout it guys lets organise a ride. Hehehe lets make it like a diplomatic mission. Lets as many bikers as possible meet at this son of a bitches house and go give him a visit.

NO, NO, nothing violent just be EXTREMELY polite and tell him it is come to our understanding that ONE OF OUR BIKER MATES has caused him to get angry and we don't like it when ONE OF OUR BIKER MATES causes anyone any grief. Because WE BIKERS are a very close knit team. And we don't was ANYBODY having any problems WITH OUR BIKER MATES cos we are nice friendly people.

Seriously- I don't think he'll ever say anything to our friend aff-man again if he knows he's dealing with a large group of people from different ages and backgrounds and not one kid.

I'm perfectly happy to talk to the guy myself. We don;t even have to enter his house - just from his gate.

Trust me this "GROUP THERAPHY" really works.

Hmmm, mate they both sound jealous of their lost youth or pathetic lives (or something anyway). No matter what you do for those type of people it will never be good enough because of their own issues with themselves.

Just let them be. Don't create more stress for yourself by reacting to those silly people. Listen to your dad- they are not worth a minute more of thought, otherwise if you do, you give them too much power over you and what you do :)

Yes lets leave things alone for now. But if there EVER IS A REPEAT. Then we gotta do something.

You could go to the cops - but those fine people usually are too busy to do anything about anything anyway.

Then we guys SHOULD DEFINETLY meet up and have a chat with the guy

Such things should not be tolerated especially if both of you know where each other live.

But now just concentrate on the runs on the 2nd and 4th of December - hey it's christmas time ---- chill out and smell the petrol fumes.........:scooter:

Report it to the cops. They're unlikely to do anything other than ring him up and tell him to cool off, but if anything happens - like a hyperaggressive fuckhead "accidentally" knocking you off your bike, for example - you want the police to have it on record. Similarly, if he does start a punchup later and the police have already recorded threatening behaviour, they're much more likely to believe your side of the story.

Chat means chat-- not beat him up, hassle him, cause trouble etc. And thats AFTER you have gone to the cops and reported the first incident so they have a record of whats happening.
Maybe you like having people walk all over you -- others don't:argh:

Cheeers guys and gals. Here is the moethod of atttack. 1 am am fundementally pissed and i tried to explain that my bike was just loud and seeing as he didn't want to listen i let him finish and then rode off. I really don't want to antagonize the old git cause he might harm my baby. But i will be stopping in at the local police station on monday (they were closed today) and just make sure they have it on record unless he tries to do something about it. As i said this guy obviously thinks i am some sort of kid and so threatening me is his only weapon. (my bro says they guy who lives there is a bit of a git anyway). But yeh i just don't know. I understand that kids etc etc can cause older folks to worry BUT 1: i have seen no young kids at his place and 2: i know where most of the young kids are an are well aware of them 3: i am not actually speeding so kids playing in the road is actually the parents responsibility. :finger:

Anyway i thought i would just share my aggrivation seeing as i think the next time someone confronts me i might just put the bike on the side stand and see what they have to say for themselves.

I don't think there is any need to antogonise the fuck-wits of the world (or my street) they tend to make a good job of making themselves look like idiots :angry2: :angry2:

Here's what I would do. I'd write a letter to the guy, and drop it off in the guys box. It would have to be extremely calm, and not antagonizing.

Dear [insert name]
Following our conversation the other day, I would just like to reitterate that I have not been exceeding the speed limit near your house and because of our conversation the other day I will be watching my speed even more closely. If you want to discuss this further then please give me a call. But Please don't make any more threats.

Then, make a couple of copies of the letter. He'll probably believe your being more genuine, and it gives him a course of action (other than making more threats) he can actually talk to you.

BUBBLE
20th November 2004, 23:07
I have the opposite problem, I dont think my neighbours are actually talking to me anymore, well not since I got the new bike. Apparently my bike is noisy and isn't appreciated warming up @ 10 to 8 in the morning before I leave to go to work.

You name the time and place and we can organise 50 bikes to go past his house and show him what fast is. Hell, I'll even donate a rear tire for his driveway, Im sure its ready for replacing. And those bloody exhaust bolts might be coming loose again, I would hate for it to get even noisier.

He doesnt know how good he's got it!!

Actually it is a really good idea. Except i doubt this guy knows how to read.(sorry but he irritated me). I think i'll just ignore him and tell the police (so they have on record) what he said. That way i really don't have to have anything more to do with him and if he does try something the police will have him on record for making a threat and so can act. I am not worried about him coming after me, cause i think he is all talk in that department (trying to scare the younger person styles but unfortunatly, don't know if it's a saffa thing, but threatening me just pisses me off more) but i am worried if he see's me coming and throws something in the road like a ball or whatever to "scare" me and i have an accident. It probably will never happen but it is sitting in the back of my mind. I will be reporting him and anyone else who decides to give me shit from now on and that will be the end of it.

the two brothers exhaust on the old tl and the rice can on the bak of my car are both loud.
had the neighbours complain a couple times saying that ive been speeding and i havent its just that there loud vehicles.

one day i came home for lunch around the time of the school holidays so the prik must have been home. Got a ph call from the old man on my way back to work and apparently the guy was realy abusive to him and to pass on the message. ive never met the guy but i guess he likes to win his fights by 100 yards eh.

So when i went home i pulled in the clutch and coasted down the road at 7k rpm.

What you say is very true K-K but aff-man was the one who approached the police first. So he has this point going for him.

He just has a loud exhaust (very nice sound), so if things get heavy one look at the bike and any copper will dismiss the allegations of speeding.

Cos if he was speeding the noise would have been a lot(LOT) louder - like from one end of queen street to the other. And then asking the other neighbours would easily confirm whether he really does ride recklessly.

Although if something does happen and the cops fail to rectify the situation methinks i might think back to those good old days in saffa where you took care of things yourself :shit: :shit:

No no leave the dog alone. I like dogs.

And leave his family alone - that is being mean.

We should kidnap him. Give him a sex-change operation. Pump him full of steroids and hormones to accelerate the changes.

Then get him to mate with a donkey and get him pregnant. And while he (now a she) is being impregnated we can make him- sorry her -make bike noises instead of simply moaning.

But please leave his dog alone ....... ok please :D

do it for a living??? you are joking right? we have a week, maybe 4, of conditons to run the dogs in the snow, hell that would have to be a mother of all hrly rates to survive the rest of the year!.....
na i just like to get up on a frezzing winter's morning, before the sun gets up just so that my dogs can pull me around a track for up to an hr ( if i get lost.. hahaha) or so, then when i thor out, i can do it the next day!
the only reason that i have the fastest  sammy team is the fact that i am the ONLY one racing them .  ..hahahahaha
