He has some very valid points...tho he did miss a very good point, a point that even the Cigarette Company's wish to point out, and that is....'The use by date' on a packet of fags...So im guessing smokes are only bad for you 'after' the use by date?

Ok, I know I'll probably get booed off by all smokers out there, but the funny thing is, I have more freedom to do whatever I want since I've stopped smoking.
But yeah, that was pretty funny. That dude's always amused me greatly

Sometimes, having a motivation that is other than your own can work...for me, I just got sick of being dependant on something that was no longer pleasant to do.
Good on your friend, for his and his family's sake.:2thumbsup

 Nope...I've taken up jogging 3 times a week, and every run is a celebration, I assure you. Going further each time, and not feeling like my chest is going to explode is reward enough...:D

God!! I know!! I have so much more time now, without having to factor in the 10 mins for a fag! I just worked out that it was at least an hour a day I wasted smoking! (Not to mention the money and being able to breathe and not smelling stinky!)

Great, it's 11am, I want a beer, and I want a smoke. How am I supposed to reconcile that with working?????
Oh - here's a goodie .....
Is Work Bad for You? A recent BSA (British Social Attitudes) survey reveals that 6 in 10 British workers are unhappy in their jobs. The survey also showed a majority of workers reporting the following:
• Feelings of insecurity
• Stress over work
• Fretting over inadequate income
• The feeling that their work is not useful to society
• Exhaustion by the time they get home
Now I've got an excuse!!! :doobey:

I dont smoke anymore, gave up nearly 3 yrs ago after my bil funeral, I smoked so much I gave myself tonsilitus. Decided after that it was just too much effort to continue.

Not only that, but you also have the physical energy to do so much more...Now, I go jogging for about half an hour 3 times a week during luchtime at work...my arse (and 007XY) are thanking me for it
It's a really awesome feeling being in control of my body again.
