Folks put yaself in a cagers shoes for a mo.
You're stuck in a fairly long line of traffic. Stopped dead at a set of lights.
Enjoying the fact hey its friday-its hometime you look across to ya left and see a granny aged person strolling from the the shop just down from you onto the footpath.
At that moment a screaming machine of death (red GN 250) goes roaring along the FOOTPATH straight towards granny.
Granny discovers just how agile she still is and soes a backward long jump of olimpic perportions (actually probably about 2 feet)
Said maniac then carrys on thinking this is the height of amusement.
a few minutes later you spot said maniac filling up with gas.
Turned out to be a pimply faced 15/16 year old on a L plate and NO jacket/gloves or even long pants.
At that point Im sorry but you ok er I I reverted to full fucked off cager--ripped strips of the little turd -showed him my smashed wrist and ground down nright thumb
Probably went in one ear and out the other. but If someone reports a cager giving him total shit on here --2 sides aye boy? --2 sides

Doubt it did any good but good on you for being so gallant and chivalrous. Our oldies need looking after!
Now you need to go and have a little lie down Frosty, after your exciting afternoon:innocent:

Yep totally agree! That would learn him hopefully. I was thinking more from the old ladys and other drivers point of view.

+ many more than one.

Good for you FROSTY!

No jacket etc is bad enough, ATGATT as I am, but make an oldie take evasive action, while walking on a footpath! That would tip the scale for me too!

i had one yesterday in chch on cranford st, i first saw him gettin gas i nodded and he ignored me, thats ok im used to it on a harley, about 150 meters up the road stuck at lights, there is two lanes waiting to get through the lights, i could of quite easily cut my way through, but i was patient, and then this dickwit comes flying through on a 250 didnt see the make of it he was going far too fast, looked like he had the right gear on, but that doesnt give him the right of way, if it was you and you turned off of the main north rd into redwood wearing a black and red jacket, watch it mate your gona come a croppa, just dont do it when im around.

Sounds like a pity that your wrist and ground down thumb (acting in concert) didn't go in one ear and out the other. Good stuff anyway :niceone: By the way where was he carrying his spray cans?

it should be one of murphy's laws. "not wearing protective gear while motorcycling will cause you to crash"

That reminds, me, I was riding my mint GN today. Some old bat nearly took me out and then when I was filling up with gas (and considering getting USD forks), some bloke came up and started abusing me. Sheesh. Some cagers, eh people??

I'll never look at Rosie again without thinking of that description!
I'm with Badjelly on this one, if that's how the little shit acts on a bike then he deserves to be mince without protective gear. In fact, I probably would've be so into ripping the daylights out of him about his antics that lack of gear wouldn't have even rated on the radar!

Good on ya though Frosty. :niceone:

Go on McJim, isn't there just a wee bit of closet GN attraction there for you? huh? huh? Although your protestation and denial could just be excellent cover for such outrageous behaviour :innocent:

Seriously though well done that man, I doubt I would have said anything for fear of getting a bit of lip back and subsequently having to insert the aforementioned petrol pump nozzle up his pimply dumb ass, ass.

A blingy on behalf grannies everywhere.

Pity granny didn't have a cane! She could have poked it through the front forks or whacked him on the schnowza as he went past. Poor old dear! I hope it hasn't shortened her life span..

Just what the GN250 crowd needs - more bad rep, bloody lunatics... ;)

Anyway, hope you got the message through. Riding on footpaths is a nono, and if you do it anyway, please do it at walking speed.

I didn't think it was a secret that there are plenty of knob ends riding motorcycles.

And there always well be, Until bikes get banned from the road,at which time the knob ends will no doubt move onto more destructive ways to commute.

Not that I'm defending him, Hitting or nearly hitting grannies is a no-no, Their skin is just to thin and bones have the consistency of curdled milk.

Though, If I had an evil bike along the lines of a GN I would no doubt be terrorising footpaths all over town.

Frosty didn't note the plate number but I did. 52YPN

He tore past me as I left the yard and when I stopped for gas he was there still. As I left I said
"Hey slow down on the footpath next time" his response was "don't have time to".
My reply, "you don't have time to kill someone either." Then he went past Frosty.
