US Import XB12R advice

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at buying a US import Buell XB12R done 6000mls, Its in NZ with its first owner and I think it originally came from San Deigo California, now I know they have pretty tight emission laws there so what are the major differences between a US model and a NZ model?.
Also, as long as its currently vinned, Registered, and WOFed it will be ok? as far as the legal side of things go.

Any other advice appreciated,

I cant see any problems but i am not really into the legal side of things.
