Excellent parking!!!!
Grrr, Its not just the bloody scooters doing this, good luck to the SV trying to stand his bike up. not helped by the lady that rides the Hyosung that just parks in the middle of the bike park and causes these gaps that are not quite big enough to squeeze into, or in this case, can be squeezed into but not out of.

No, I do not own a Hyobag, so not my parking that causes this type of thing, but I'm sure it probably does the few times I have had to park in town. All I can say is... desperate times lead to desperate measures. I guess it's like people with SUVs that take up theirs and half of someone elses park in some of the teeny tiny parks in town.

Ha, yeah I saw that when I was on the bus at around 12 today and wondered the same thing about the SV. I used to get that all the time when I had my KR and parked on Victoria St, was damn near impossible to try and kick start it. Used to have to use my imagination to manuovere it out without damaging the idiots bike that had squeezed itself on to mine!

Well, first of all we don't actually know what order the bikes were parked in do we?
Also, leaving a gap big enough for a bike to fit into is just as bad as parking your bike in the gap.
Anyway, if you wanna see parking of two-wheelers go to Roma:

Italians are mad.....
the Yamaha parked last.
The problem is really caused by the Hyosung not parking next to the row of bikes but plonking it in the middle.
Most days I have someone parking so close I cant stand the bike up, I have to push it out on an angle. But that is just crazy close, and inconsiderate.

Is it a 250? May be a noob..... Maybe you could write a politely worded letter and leave it on his/her bike. As for the Hyosung cruiser, I used to work down that end of town and she parks there EVERY day. Works with LB if I remember correctly. I think you're just being mean to her cause she's a woman! :bleh:

the worse i have seen is shanghai thus far. you have about 5-10mm clearance from where one bike starts to the last one ended......and that clearance is everywhere. bar-to-bar, peg-to-peg, exhaust-to-chain.
Have a look under your desk - that space there the chinese could fit 3 HJ (GN) 125's, and half a dozen LPG Forever scooters......im not kidding

Oh shut up. If someone parked that close to me, I would simply move the fucken thing to the middle of the road to make a statement. I WOULDN'T have a coronary about it and go the the effort of taking a photo just to bitch on a website.

Finn, mate, chill. I get where he is coming from and to those of us that dont have big balls like you and cannot move someone elses bike into the middle of the road it is frustrating! I remember having a Hayabusa parked right on top of my KR so I couldnt move it. The hayabusa is prob 10x my size if I tried to move that I would've been stuck under it. Though that may have actually become a funny story now.....

Thats a perspective. but really its not much effort, not nowadays with technology, cameras on phones etc.

Lets get some road paint and expand the to few bike parks that are around, there sure seems to be a shortage. I put my bike in a tighter spot than that yesterday, but I was only gone 5 minutes.

If I was anymore chilled, I'd be dead. I just checked my pulse... nothing. All the fun has gone from the Island and we're left with people taking photo's of parked bikes and calling *555.
This wouldn't have happened if we won the World Cup.

ummm babe I took the car today remember...AND I don't bother going near those parks on Lambton quay - because of this exact thing. Too many bikes trying to fit into the space - given I'm a big believer in Murphy's law I just know that if someone's bike was to get wasted by those that are tooo useless to park considerately...it would be be mine!

The one we lost because we thought the Haka and a bunch of beefcakes would bring it back.
Edit: How's that for off topic?

Carrying a bike is a waste of energy. Riding them is much more fun and enjoyable. You need to figure out which way to turn the key though...

no offence but if you cant get ur bike out of that situation, you shouldnt be riding.

Finn, mate, chill. I get where he is coming from and to those of us that dont have big balls like you and cannot move someone elses bike into the middle of the road it is frustrating! Also in Auckland they don't actually have motorcycle parks of any size or use, so he wouldn't understand.
Finn is also short and has issues about it, so it's best just to ignore him.
