Coming from a recent mountain biking background I want to know if the motorbikes are as good as or better than mountain bikes doing the tight technical downhills. Forgive me if the motorbikes piss all over the MTBikes but it has quirked my curiousity
Sure you have the power, speed & longer suspension but what about changing direction quickly with all that weight.
I'm sure there are many that ride both & if so which one do you enjoy most for what?
cheers

I find mtb's to be an xlnt way of keeping fit and training, and i've often wondered if it's a real benefit to your m/bike riding because your doing a lot of sit/stand - weight distribution - gear/line selection - using the same muscle groups etc. in the past i've done heaps of dh/xc mtb (i love it and always will) and always thought it must be - BUT - apart from the fitness thing i don't honestly think you can compare the two, after a good weekend on the m/bike, getting on the mtb always seems so light and insubstantial and SLOW!!! it takes me a while to get my head (and body) round what i'm doing, once i do it's all good. yeah, they are both 2 wheels off road - but v. different. As for tech. sections, i've looked at some full on enduro stuff and thought -shit that's technical, can't do that on my m/bike but would be cool on the mtb only to have some cocky with a rugby shirt and gumboots with a fag stuck to his bottom lip appear and fly up/down it on an '89 XR650, so WTFDIK :baby:
