I remember the day she was droped off at home like it was yeasterday, a gleaming deep blue with some lovey shiney yoshis attached the side, not a mark on the entire bike, I was in .
Fast foward 1 year, 3 months, 18 days later, and there she lies broken in the middle of road, disconected from rider with a women ratteling off the all to familiar phrase every daily comuter never wants to hear but always does "I AM SO SORRY, I JUST DIDNT SEE YOU". I wanted to go off my nut at this women, but personally I find it really hard to :angry2: yell, screem, and generally beat the living shit out someone who is shaking so bad I wanted to cheeck the rictor scale and crying into the arms of her car passanger.
Right so damage report, I am quite confident the bike will be a right off, bent forks, fucked fairing, fucked belly pan, front brakes dont seem to be working, scratched and dent tank, gravel rash on rear tail peice, and somthing is bent in the exhust. As for me a body that just knows it is not going to be able to move tomorrow:argh:.
About the only peice of satisfaction I am talking out is the fact that the car had to be towed away as well ( I dont do things by halves)

Hmm, make sure you get the frame checked for straightness. With that damage, it could well be totaled.

Went to see the doctor tonight and I have an Xray booked on me knee tomorrow, I am pretty confident it is only soft tissue damage but hey you never know (and beside this way I got a over protective bunch of middle age women that happen to be in the south island with my mother off my back for the moment:()

Unscientific survey...
Were your headlights on low or high?
Low.
For the record I do believe I could of done things differently in terms of my actions leading up to the accident (placement on road etc.). I can assure you they will be taken in board for future reference.
I dont however honestly believe that the outcome would have been very different given her actions that showed to me she had seen the four wheel driving behind me (not sure on distance but maybe 30m) and it was her intention to turn into the side road, so she did not have to wait for the next traffic light phase.

So is it going to be SV part2 or shall we see something else? :psst:(Get a Dual Purpose, its the best fun out there!)

Yea thanks Dawn, hopefully I wont be off two wheels for two long but we will have to wait and see (I am expecting the worse insurance, that way I wont get my hopes up) and dont really know what bike will be next.
Hmmm, thanks by the way for bringing up that little indiscresion durring the first week of ownership:rolleyes:, the good thing now though is you hardly notice those few scratches:lol:

The exact thing happened to me last week. A car pulled out off a side street and smacked me right in the foot. I was in the hospital for the start of the easter weekend and at home recovering for the rest. My foot is broken in many many places.
My bike is damaged but I dont know how bad. But her insurance is paying for it anyway. Does anyone now if I can get money out of this other than the ACC or insurance? I had a concert to go to that night and couldnt, so I think I should be reimbursed. And its not like bands come to play in NZ all the time.

It would be the most sensible time to buy a Suzuki; when they slash the prices of their run-out models.
