Well not very well sad to say . Group ride I was leading had a mate push himself & bike abit far & slide it of the road & down a 100 ft bank into Native bush , luckly he got off it before it bounced over the curb & out into fresh air . One sad looking 907IE . So if anyone see some guys parked on Mt Messenger tomorrow mornning with a Wench & rope on the front of a 4 wheel drive we may need a hand to get it back up from the Jungle below as it is along ways down . Plus side it shouldn't get stolen tonite . If anyone has or knows anyone with 907ie parts let me know its going to need alot .Will get some pics tomorrow as well .

Thats true . Bus coming the other way near ran over the top of him as he slide across the road in front of it very close , driver got out & gave him a mouthfull as well . Lucky boy twice !

Glad your mate was ok and didn't get smeared Sensei. This scenario runs through my mind more and more often while riding now. Too many mates hurt or killed finding the limits on the road. The cost for a split second misjudgement or miscalculation can be so high if there is someone coming the other way.
Good luck with the retrieval.

Some pics from recovery & must say it went pretty bloody well considering . Not the place to be going as a rule but with out the Winch on the Safari things would have been bloody tricky & the bike alot more damaged than it already is , which isn't that bad really . Riders ok & will look at bike once apart & go from there .

Hope he has learnt a valuable lesson.
Great to hear he is all right and the bike doesnt look too bad.
The best riders tell me, slow in fast out, I guess that is all relative though
He's not one of the 48% this time.

Looks like you guys did a great job. Glad he is ok, but isn't that the way when he is nearly smeared by a bus and the driver rips into him - like he really wanted to be there himself!

Plus side it shouldn't get stolen tonite .

Well chances are it wouldn't get stolen if you didn't tell the world about it just now......

That looks like it was on the exit of the left hander where you have to do a quick right/left flick onto a very short straight (or just cut the corner if there's nothing coming). He's a lucky boy.
