So how would we feel if some spotty opinionated idiots charged in here and tried to change our opinions in the shortest time possible?

I ask merely for informational purposes you understand.

You mean like Katman? Or political whackos? Or Homer with his conspiracy theories?
Are you thinking of a certain example we have witnessed recently?
As long as it stays in Rant and Rave it's fine I guess, makes for an entertaining site and some good flame wars.

Personally, I would be quite inclined to lure them to the pub, get them pissed and then down-trou them in front of a camera.

The results of said endeavour would then be posted to each and every one of their subsequent soapbox threads.

Oh I wouldn't go so far as to name names  I was just shit stirring and it seemed fun.

We had one of those.

It was just the most AWESOME time.

I shall direct you to the offender.

You'll find it in this Thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=8506) and the user name is Alan Wilkinson. He's a letter writing freak. He really did not get our point of view at all. Didn't even try. Katman is on our side, whatever you think of his posts. This guy isn't aware that motorcycles and their riders aren't analogous to a two-wheeled car with a driver.

The guy at the pub whos in my face telling me not to have the sixth pint may have my best interests at heart but fuck he is annoying......

:innocent:

What would get my goat about some individual like that, would be the way every motorcyclist was tarred with the same brush...you know, you all ride like tosspots on speed, none of you obey any laws, you all think that you are above the law and that the road is your own private race track...oh, and when you come to grief it is always someone elses fault.
I would hate to see such generalisations on here, and would probably stop reading it after a while....
I would not put anyone like that on my ignore list though...the effort of doing so would be more than an individual like that is worth!

I only read the stuff I'm interested in so have no concerns what anyone writes. If any post is too long for a start and not supported by photos my tired old brain just can't be bothered taking it in and I skip to something else. So no-one can motormouth on me really nor change my opinions by trying to do so in such a way.

99% of motorcyclists. The 1% who are different aren't who you think they are either.

I know what you are saying, but that guy is nothing like me regardless if we share the same views. Theres somethings I would never do.

Its too hard to have a bloody discussion on here ,by the time ive typed out my views ,they are onto another subject or when i do eventually spit it out they get the total wrong idea.

but it is a forum so people are entitled to say what they will i guess

Nothing wrong with a bit of dribble every now and again, and in a place like this there is no shortage of opinions!!

Thank you Frosty. KB has been overwhelmed with dog vomit lately. People over analyzing (and spell checking) every fucking post.

Shut up fools!

McJim, I told you this would happen to you once you moved small town.

its a pity some people dont realise that others have opinions that differ from theirs, and have the right to express those opinions without abuse

Yes.....a point proven by some of the replies. This was intended to be a humerous parody of another thread with a similar title.

Unfortunately this concept has gone screaming over some peoples' heads like the F111 I saw at the weekend.

Heigh ho....The_Dover would've got the joke....

Dear McJim, I think you need to back to darning the holes in your kilt you daft big'yin!

Evidently, you are back in your element with the lonely call of the wilds and the skirl of outrageous accents in the air. The madness that drives perfectly normal bikers to get rid of their RG150 is plain for all to see! :oi-grr:

So gerroff wiv' your tamoshanters and your salted porridge and your thistles and your diamond socks held up with garters and your intestinal packages of boiled innards and your fluffy scrotum pursebags and your rain and your airs and your Lorna Doons and your Whiskys and your Mcs and Macs and your inventions and your italian accent! :Pokey:

Been a whiles, will need to do a visit so we can agree to disagree and go and ride some bikes. For a wee while!

Does that mean you'd add up to a whole person?
