Bit of advice I got from my dad many years ago. Still valid today
"Son ride your bike as if everyone and everything is out to kill YOU".

For the guys that have been "around the block" a few times thats old hat but I just thought you guys n gals might like it :2thumbsup

What?! Are you saying that everyone isn't out to run me of the road?

Had the very same advice from my farther when i was first allowed to ride on the road.

Is a very good bit of advice,as sadly sometimes it really does seem the case <_<

My old man said to me once, as I cautiously rounded a city corner:
" Don't worry about what you're doing mate. It's the other cunts you have ter watch."

Best advice I ever got from mine was "Son, never buy anything with a handle on it..."

Quite right! The others are trying to do it unintentionally...:msn-wink:

But it's a rule I've lived by for 35 years and so far, so good:niceone:

My dad said, 'I know theres nothing I can say or do to stop you, just look out for all the pricks trying to kill you like they tried to do to me when I used to ride bikes. (he was knocked off twice in 10 days, once by a drunk taxi driver pulling out of a side street and the other by a pregnant lady in labour driving herself to the hospital. he didnt ride another bike till I got one 20 odd years later)

It's an old one but damn good... First thing my Mum said to me when I started talking about learning to drive.
