Well if you are, I'll just get in quickly on behalf of those of us who work blue watch, ie myself, Speedmedic, Backfire, PC1. We work blocks of four on four off, with most people doing two dayshifts then two nightshifts, so you can all work out from the following:
January - working 3rd to 6th, 11th to 14th, 19th to 22nd, 27th to 30th
February- working 4th to 7th, 12th to 15th, 20th to 23rd

I'm not likely to be in town until just before the 17th. I was going to wait until February for the next one.
Maybe one of you fellas should organise a sausage sizzle to raise some money for the TS/SM revive the TLR fund...

I am in - hopefully it'll be an evening. And yeah - lets GO FOR A RIDE!!! this time - something short and easy please to accomodate tortoises :spudbooge like moi.
And then we can meet up for some refreshment afterwards - ok?
Where do we want to meet?
If the Mission Bay place is too out of the way there is the McDonalds/Pizza Hut/Complex on Quay Street - just outside the city - there;s plenty of parking there (at least at 6-6:30pm) - and it's also quite central for North Shore chappies too.
What do you'll say???
Can someone plan a route - then all that is left is to choose a date.

Yeah i'll steal it for you, i have a good Naenae background/education/upbringing behind me, so i'm more than qualified for the job, i'll email you my CV on my latest insurance jobs, see what you think, I'm pretty cheap on my fee's, a bottle of bourbon usually does the trick, i offer a range of options for theft and can tailor a package to suit.
And before anyone starts going off there lolly at me i am joking, not about my upbringing thats all true :brick: but my fees are much higher than a bottle of bourbon i demand at least a dozen beer as well, none of that cheap waikato shit either. :2guns:

Throwing an idea into the midst:
As most know i manage a Hell Pizza in Ellerslie, its a peice of piss to get to next to the m/way, if ya's want pay a fiver each and i'll make dam sure no one leaves for the ride hungry, got a bigg carpark out back for a meeting spot and a fiver is alot cheaper than going to BK or some shit like that and being hungry after it and leaves change for oh so precious petrol. It wont take much to suss out on at my end so what ya all think. All i need is the day before's notice to sort it out.
Then for the ride the, i'm not fussy i'll let someone else sort that out.

That will be standard - 'insurance' is typically accident and liability insurance only. You will have needed to have purchased a mechanical warranty to cover this kind of thing. If the work was only carried out a few days or kms before the failure, you could try going back to the mechanic on a faulty install or inadequate standard of install. There may also be a manufacturer warranty on the components, ie the chain might be covered for breakage within a certain period, although this may not extend to damage as a result of the faulty chain. This also assumes that the mechanical fault was due to a design or manufacture fault, not an 'outside' factor such as something flicking up off the road and damaging a link.
