I don't know if it is a Blitz but yesterday on the way home i saw at least 4 cop cars pulling people over on the north western and today i passed no less than 6. i don't know what the official line on splitting for cops is but all the same i would take it easy and not do anything out of the ordinary for a couple of days until they decide to move on to greener pastures.

Could you outline your issues with rego/WoF checkpoints?
Sounds like good public safety to me.

Big blitz on here yesterday too. Must be everywhere by the looks. Just doing a seatbelt, warrant and registration check, Ma'am... Cracked me up because I was in my old runabout, which has all the paint peeling off and spider webs all over it, because it doesn't get used much. I had just dropped off my 4wd for a WOF because it had expired a month ago and I hadn't noticed!

Always makes you wonder about people with no reg but a WOF
(okay if it doesnt have wof you can't get redg, so they shouldnt be on road anyways)
but, the ones with a reg but **can't afford the wof** is a bit stupid.
They can get 3 month wof for errr 60-70 ish.
Yet they risk a $200 fine, in which if they get that they still have to pay the backdated rego regardless.
it's like.
duh.

I heard from an unoffical source that due to the weakening us dollar and fuel price rises that the cost of donuts has risen 20%. Coincidence?.... I think not.

Well, I'm glad they didn't pull me over. I had to go to Motohaus because yesterday was the first day I'd ridden in a while, and my WOF was expired.
So, I had to do a bit of judicious lane-splitting on the NW coz I was worried I wouldn't get there afore the workshop closed.
It's all good now.
The cop I filtered by, on the way home yesterday, didn't seem too concerned.
Why is it that the litre sprotbikes do not like filtering? Bloody gxsr's and cbr's holding things up...
I ride south from constellation drive and haven't seen a cop on the motorway at rush hour ever since the new busway went in! I used to see them just about every other day.
I did see my first today, was parked on the side with a flashing sign on the roof saying "Seat Belt Check". Haven't seen that before...
Haha everytime I read that cops were going hard on the NW, its always on a day when I wasnt riding from out west :first:
Ill lane split past a cop car (gap it and ya gone in a second)
but when theres a bike I will stay as far back as I can, or like last week when I got off the motorway completly and took the long way round just to avoid getting pulled over...
