No.. its an american test for their diplomatic corp. It tests to see if people can keep their balance while f**k*** up. The helmet is purely for the tester so she doesn't have to look at their faces.

They made a few concepts along those lines, but the stability control systems of today cannot react fast enough yet.
Even the fastest Segways are limited to something like 23kph. And they are based off a balanced chassis using 2 wheels spaced apart.

Yep, it's real.
Basically a Segway with motorcycle styling.
I wonder if he'll have to pay royalties to the Embrio people?

I don't think it is, and I think it's too easy to ride with the electronic stability control. Plus it's got two wheels next to each other like a car so you don't lean it over.
A guy I know down here in christchurch called peter jones has a unicycle powered by a stationary engine using a 23 inch XR wheel and has handlebars, a seat a twistgrip.
It's pretty tricky to ride I'll tell you that! It can be done though. It doesn't go that fast though.

Went to a wedding in Taupo last weekend. Opposite our motel was segway off-road racing for $10 a go. The missus and I walked by faster than the 'competitors'.
I was tempted to give it a go for the novelty value, but will rely on the memory of having raced a sinclair c-5 on a gravel track in the early 80s as my life-time experiment in crap travel options. :scooter:

Bike = bicycle (motorised or not) = thingy-mabob with two wheel
No it's not a bike.
Looks bloody dangerous - but reminds me of a good Sci-Fi novel by Iain M. Banks - Against a Dark Background. Read it!
