Frosty, Stify & Shaun :niceone:

To fill you in, these three fine fellows helped me get my new steed safely to my door, not just down the road, 360km's away!!! I am glued to a new business at present & am lucky to be able to nip down the shops from time to time let alone travel any great distance so needed a hand. Never met any of these chaps before & they go out of their way to help a fellow KB'er above & beyond, true legends. Not only did Frosty check the bike out for me he acted as the middle man receiving the funds from me & passing them onto the seller at time of purchase (as I didn't want to transfer $$$ straight to a complete stranger prior to exchange), he then stored the bike over night. Stify then rocks up & takes the bike to Taupo were he passed the baton onto Shaun who bought it back here to New Plymouth :not:

So when you next talk with any of these fine fellows be sure to tell them they are bloody legends :sunny:

What a fantastic community we have here, looking forward to being able to return the favour to not only these three but to other fellow KB'ers :niceone:

Na not a thrash, picker her up from Shaun's place (luckily just round the corner from me) & sheepishly tootled off down the road after being told off by Shaun for revving it too much at his place lol :innocent: im guessing someone was catchin a few zzzzzzz's, woops. So yeah not far back to my place then went to get some gas & straight back.

Got an invite to go riding with a bunch of mates but couldn't go :crybaby:

A bit risky for the three musketeers that helped you out, what if something went wrong? Imagine if the $$$ went missing, lost or stolen...
I am very hesitant about "helping out" these days, after being burnt in the past.
You know, good samaritan routine goes pear-shaped.
I picked up a mates bike on a trailer after it broke down(Motoguzzi) and it fell over on the trailer in transit, yep...dent in the tank and various scratches etc.
Here was me trying to help and I ended up paying for the repairs.
Puts ya off "helping" people a bit.

Yeah the sound is intoxicating, fricken awesome, especially with RS-3 Yoshi's :headbang:

Haven't riden her for long enough to be able to comment on the handling sorry Chris. I have done a HUGE amount of home work (trolling reviews, askin TK owners questions etc) & the problem was HUGELY blown out of proportion according to most TL owners I have come across. Not like the press to ever exaggerate aye

Yeah it is a bit of a risk I guess. Speaking for myself, if I am charged with looking after someones gear & I break it, im paying for it, no question. In saying that I am as careful with someone else's gear if not more so than my own for this very reason.

Depends on the circumstances i reckon.A true mate wouldn't ask you to pay.Shit happens! If you were riding it and binned it or some such then you pay but if a mate is helping you out and something goes wrong then you bite the bullet!

Makes the pain of destroying a bike worth it,almost.

Tough choice to make or straight forward once you had narrowed it down?I can't think of a tougher decision as to choices with everyones opinions etc.

Bike karma maybe, but weather is good for you to get back into it,with new bike and great days lately.Gets :cold:quick though.

Yeah tis a sticky one, I would still offer to pay, especially if I was negligent to some degree, an accident (slipped etc) is another thing of course, that's shit happens for sure.

We were at Sugerjuice yesterday. Saw sme groups come and go, were you with a guy on a Blue Daytona??? Friend bought a brand new Hornet and wanted to go for a leisurely cruise. Even got wifey out for a change on her Purple Triumph, once we got it going - damn battery might be toast. A good day to be out and about, even better today!

That was us idiots, not my Triumph(bugga)was the Zuki, they dropped off one Daytona for a few tickleups, whilst that being done,we showed them the sights, went up to Dawson Falls and did both roads there and back(Wiremu/Opunake Rds,then down to Kaponga and back via Eltham Rd).
Decided to have a coffee and nibble before swapping bikes to be worked on. Them being from the Manawatu it was a great way to showcase the area.
The Hornet was eyecatching colourwise, your beast was getting my look of approval, the Triumph is nice good choice.Batteries are fun lol,had a new one and was discharging, took it back for a check, recharged and perfect.
Was about to have a chat but food arrived and when finished you'd left.Bloody good day to be out.Nice cafe as well, friendly and prompt service, will be back, shame same not up in Dawson Falls, mind you the temp changes up on the hill, was good when we left Opunake, little cloud, but once turning up Manaia Rd the cloud arrived, shame really as it looked good leaving Hawera early on.

Yeah well with him dropping his bike part way through he prolly did have a thrash around. It's got 4,000 more KM's on it than was lead to believe..........sheeesh, must of been on the long version of Taupo aye?

I took her for a (decent) thrash today for the first time, woot!! Wicked bike man, shit it goes hard. My father n law took it for a thrash yesterday, he has raced at Isle of Man years ago, he was well impressed with it.

Also bought some near new Yoshi cans for it yesterday so have the current Yoshi's up for grabs.

A public thanking is a good way to draw attention to some of the special goings-on, but mostly those that do the helping bit are happiest when the recipient pays it forward. That way, more people receive the good stuff.

Love this part of bike ownership, learning about the machine, checking over every part making sure its just right. Up late reading the manual in bed. It's very enjoyable, I find it absorbs me totally & that is very relaxing.
