Reluctant sale - rebuilt engine, new plastic and paint, good looking bike.
I call this one the "leg breaker" as it likes to kick back when it's started hot, but it runs very nicely and has shitloads of compression.
Keen to sell, price dropped to $1000 start and NO RESERVE (don't you hate reserves?)

These things are very lazy in their power delivery, but I guess it depends on what yer used to...they do have plenty of go for trailriding.
Is that on stock suspension? I don't remember the rear sitting that high on those..

yes it's a stock rear, it may be adjusted high but it's right for me and I'm an average 5 foot 8 on a good day. I can touch the ground! I wouldn't ever willingly get on a two stroke bike unless it was a matter of life and death but then I come from an era when they were a shit to ride - plus I don't like the noise of two stroke ring-dinger's.
I am running this with a straight pipe and it is about the same noise as my TT500 with a supertrapp, must have something to do with the two exhaust valves & headers.
It is definitely smoother and quieter than my TT500, and lighter too. These were never designed as a motorcross bike, but they are a very good dual-purpose bike before they invented dual-purpose bikes. This bike would be even better if it was road registered but it would be easier than some to register as it was originally designed to be road worthy in the first place.
If I could keep it I would just because it is relatively light and a good trail-riding bike, perfect for the fire breaks and forestry blocks not far from my back door.

No it's just not registered, maybe I should change the wording of that. I am going through the motions of re-registering another bike at the moment and it is amazing what they can tell you about your bike if you have the chassis or engine numbers.
