He's not in NZ (but then neither am I) but Sam ('Stu') does terrific helmet art work at a really decent price.

This is the most recent helmet he's done for me ('s got my 'Evil Twin' looking out the back at ya - funny thing, cars tend to not tailgate me when I'm wearing this)

If you look at the series of photos you can see he strips the helmet right down to the shell to do a great job. (This was a Shoei, but he did 'Neurosurgical' and 'Craniotomy' art for me a few years back on two Arai Signets).

If he has anything to do with Cannon (CSC) then he will be BLOODY expensive

Depends how much detail is involved, but between $500-700 , worth every cent once you have seen how good he is, he can spend 30-40 hours on a helmet, does it after hours, more of a hobby than a business , hes a good guy , not a wanker, and hes into bike too

Mark is a good mate, and his work is THE SHIT! His prices aren't cheap, but if ya see his work you'll see why. He Has a list of clients a mile long, including most of NZ's top car racers. Be prepared for a bit of a wait though, he's usually booked a fair while in advance.
If yer keen pm me and I'll give ya his no.

yes, dead right - both CSC & Stir are expensive.....but then, they would be....cause they are good!

"the bitterness of poor quality is long remembered after the sweetness of low cost is forgotten."

I'd say this would particularly apply if you were painting a circa $1500 helmet.....

Just my 2c :)

Its been a while but finally I have someone thats doing some painting for me! I left the Arai at Stir for over 6 months and they didnt touch it!

In the meantime i changed brands so im now using Shoei and have just dropped my helmet off to Tyler at http://www.helmart.co.nz/ and it will be ready in 2 weeks!

He is only 18 but his work is amazing and he does some pretty high profile and trick helmets, check out his site.....
