I reckon if anyone sends me a late entry I should charge them a coffee for me - on second thoughts na - I'd be drowning in it lol. I'm a cheap bribe really.

You've probably answered your own question there mate. If there's huge numbers, there's still only a limited amount of time in the day.
Bear in mind that the laps are about 25 seconds shorter than Taupo so races tend to contain more laps.

Hello, I'd be interested to share a garage with other people. Anyone has a spare corner by any chance?
I'm assuming there are garages to hire at Manfield?

what was the day at taupo, track day means new ones required, race day means you "should" get away with it.
Also depends on compound, was your suspension set right etc.
ie only you can tell and it may pay to have a spare set in the pits

40 bikes in F1:( And Manfeild is lisensed for 35 right?
115% rule would make about a 1:19 cutoff

I think you might manage to go under 1:19 Tony:msn-wink:. I'm not sure how many bikes Manfield is "licensed" for, but the Vic club decided to restrict the race grids to 35 in an effort to improve safety. The 115% cut-off has not been formally adopted, we just wanted to see what it would look like at Taupo. I feel a new thread coming on.

115% is a bit tough on certain fields... should it not be just the top 35 no matter what? I understand not having slower bikes for safety reasons... but if you have room, you may as well accommodate people... there will be a lot of dissappoitned people a lot out of pocket if the fields arent full due to the cut off rule....
any word on race format for the day?

I know a guy (persistant shit stirrer on this very site) that gets around Manfeild in 1.19 on an 883 Harley Skirtster. Those rules were tight too, pretty much stock bikes.
If you can't get around there in under 1.19 on a modern thou', sorry, you should be in Clubamans.
For the record, the same guy's gone 1.16 on a 250 PRODDY bike. Bet that makes ya pecker shrink Brian :D

I've got a garage sorted, thanks all for the offers!
I understand there's a practise session on Friday. Is it bikes only or cars as well? What time do I need to be there, is it drop in or register before 9am? Do I need to bring race license etc?
Cheers
