Whats the price at the bike shop drew?H ave read some good things about them.Fwiw is there much difference between them and the stickier one?Like most people am looking for something sticky that will do good mileage.

I ran a road attack rear and sport front on my previous bike. I was impressed and it was wearing very well when I traded it.

About $300-$320 in the shops. I didn't notice a difference between the road, and sport attack, but never had the road attack long as it was poked when I got my Hornet.

Mileage is very pressure sensitive on these tyres. They run a minimum of 5 psi higher than anything else.

Indeed, I was told by my dealer to run no less than 42psi in my Sportattack rear tyre.
I was was experimenting with pressures to get more feel and confidence on these tyres and I dropped the front to 33psi and the rear to 36psi during the latter half of their life and they just blew out in no time flat.

they're awesome for milage, got over 8000kms out of a rear on my 998 and a lot of that was on the corse chip touring the Sth Island. Kept the pressures up around 41psi. Didn't have any traction probs though it was mainly summer temperatures,which really surprised me for more of a touring tyre, and they worked really well in the wet. But have to say the Sport Attack would be my pick, after using both the sporty gave me fantastic feel if your pushing it a bit, and good milage too.

At 23PSI I found it gives good grip and good tire wear.

And I run 34PSI in the front.


I dont know if the sport Attacks are differnt tho?

Do you get 5000 "racing" Km's out of that rear tyre or less than 1000km?

Race attack is a totally different construction to the other varieties. Where the road and sport attacks have a soft carcas construction and harder surface compound, and even the homologato race attack for that matter. The race compound race attack has a stiff side wall to run lower pressure, allowing the contact bit to be more pliable to the track surface.

Or something like that anyway, bottom line is they are not anything like the same tyre.
