Ginger has re-enforcements out for fruitless wonders.
:Police:
Apparently tonight the gingaa,(as we love to call him acd868,dont want to bad mouth the good guys) was out blocking all traffic on peak rd. Himself and many officers set up a road block at the end of a straight long piece of road at the end.

Pulling all motorcycles off the road to inspect their licences and rad mods to their bikes :scooter:

Whilst the motorcyclists were pulled over cars went by at their free will not checked or queried.

The atnr has been largely well behaved and lawfull for quite some time now. It makes me wonder why it is getting targeted now?

Which of these statements are true

A) does gingaa have nothing but an empty shell of poilceiness to fulfil his lifes needs. Is there nothing else in his life so that he needs to harass these bikers?

B) does he really like bikers and hangin out with them on thursday nights? He would love to be invited just once if only

Because you bought up a thread **part one** so to speak, on a site that is frequented by the new zealand police, so instead of just doing his job with no discretion as he was, which he had every right to do. now he actually is being a cunt.

Ya bought it upon ya selves guys.

Thers alot of other roads to ride!!! If you know cops target the usual west routes change it....its simple.

Remember they have a little more technology on them, only takes seconds to get bike details then you are marked all over the city.. country even...

They do their job for a reason and despite the fact we as bikers hate them, whose first to the scene to asses your fuck ups and to contact other emergency services to carry your sorry ass away???

Im glad we have cops most have hot asses in uniforms!!

Best form of attack here is defense. Dont give the 5 oh any reason to ping you, they will soon get sick of wasting time checking you. Gladly stop at a check point, be polite and show you are riding legally, right bike for license, inside hours for license, fully registered and current WOF and not over limit for booze. Ride within the speed limit at all times, shit some of those corners on the ride will THRILL you at legal open road speeds lets face it. Obey posted speed limits at all times, particularly on the straight bits in 80kmph areas. Simple really...LOL

Unfortunately, by accounts, it appears that gingacunt simply regards a completely law abiding biker as a challenge to his inventive powers , and, lacking any reason to ping, will simply make one up. So that won't work.

I was there... got a fine, I think I got the least out of everyone (except the chick who was leading and got nill)
I got 250bucks - 120 for crossing double yellows and 130 for hitting 120kph while doing so

That is so gay that they would ping a motorbike on a country road passing a car that was doing 80 in a 100k area
My Ticket went on the fire 15 mins after being issued
Where are the police when your house gets burgled ? 4 fucking days later
Or Car gets stolen, 3 fucking days later

I dont hate the police, my dad WAS a cop for 10 years, the only cop in smalltown NZ dealing with the Mob and BP, not a fa**ot f*cking traffic warden writing out tickets
Hope he feels good, he sure showed those thursday night riders, Id done the ride once - a year ago - I brought 3 people with me who had never done the ride
2 who got 500 bucks worth of fines each, and 1 who got 1100

Blonde pubics on a female are to be admired but ginga fluff on a weenie bring on a lifetime of ridicule, hence the threat to his masculinity or lack thereof. Until this protector of the highways is prepared to disrobe in public (pubic), then we will continue to snigger behind his back content in the knowledge that he is a soft/small cock with an attitiude that reflects his inadequate appendage. Oh, did I mention he probably tried to ride a bike with trainer wheels and fell, off hence his downer in those with the ability to ride two wheelers without assistance and in excess of 1kph. Impotence is indeed a sad afflicition. Go Ginga fuzz teeny peenie

Went on the ATNR once, and saw the worst examples of sheer stupidity I've ever come across, although that night the coppers were strangely absent. The overtaking move over the crest of a hill on a left-hand bend in the dark was possibly the most buttock-clenching, but there was quite a few memorable moments to choose from. I've chosen my riding partners with a bit more care since then.

Anyway ... take video cameras with you. When aforementioned ginger cop starts pulling people over, start filming the whole proceedings. If I'm right, and I'm sure one of the resident officers will happily correct me if I'm not, he has absolutely no right to require you to stop filming. Keep the camera in his face the entire time, and get as much audio as you can. Don't piss around on film, 'cos the tape might come in useful a bit later on. Keep on doing this, week in, week out, and save all the tapes.

There are three possibilities:

His behaviour will change because he knows that what he's doing and saying is now going on record.
You'll continue to get booked left, right and centre, and the tapes will prove it's because you've all been arseholes.
You'll continue to get booked left, right and centre, and the tapes can be presented to the Police Complaints Authority as proof that he's being a cunt.

Unfortunately, by accounts, it appears that gingacunt simply regards a completely law abiding biker as a challenge to his inventive powers , and, lacking any reason to ping, will simply make one up. So that won't work.

Mate, what have you been smoking? That seriously sounds like paranoia to me. Whats wrong with you lot, can't you design a new ride and not post it over the internet, just where your starting from? New ride, less attention, quite simple really. Simple hazard control: remove it if possible, minimise it if it cannot be removed and if all else fails learn how to live with/around it.

I was not there nor really give a fuck. I have been on that ride and saw some fucking stupid riding, but Ive maxed out the CBR600RR I had also on the roads I know well. That sounds to me like the lift does not reach the top floor with you lot, or your grandiose, then get upset when the law comes down on you. I dont know about anyone else, but when there are flashing lights behind me I get the fuck out of the way and its not that often at all that they pull in behind me. Also being polite and respectfull will go along way. If you gave the officer a quarter of the B/S in this thread then if I was him I would have given you a good fine also. Through accepting Ive done wrong, being polite and respectful in the past I have managed to get myself out of some really big problems to the point that I dont even have a speeding ticket to my name. Ask anyone who used to ride with me if I allways stuck to the speed limit and you'll be wondering where you have gone wrong and I never used a radar detector, apart from sitting behind nadroj's busa and him warning me with his. Really you guys need to sit back and get perspective - writing to the Rodney times - ohhh we got tickets for speeding - 5 of us lost their licenses at the same time - ohhh poor us. Its all the coppers fault.

Breaking the speed limits like that makes you guys the menace. As a parent - who has kids driving on that road - knowing that there are bikers overtaking on double yellows and doing speeds like that - I actually support the coppers who are getting you off the road - and I suspect that the vast majority of readers of the Rodney times would feel the same.

Heck - I might write to them as well and point to the ATNR thread and ask how many people like this kind of behavior being organized week in week out on your roads?

Where do you really think you deserve public support from?

Sorry, I have no sympathy for people who cross double yellow lines at speed and then get fined.

The more you do stupid things and the more the cops will get you for every little thing they can find. You'd be doing the same.

The guys in the Welly region apparently had a nice ride yesterday, and they invited the local force for a chat. Good way to bridge the gap. You could get inspired. The story is there:

Blonde pubics on a female are to be admired but ginga fluff on a weenie bring on a lifetime of ridicule, hence the threat to his masculinity or lack thereof.

What does it have to do with sexuality? This is just taking things pointlessly personal. After all, isn't there a similar myth about people showing off on big bikes?

So what you're really trying to say is, you ride like a nanna?

People who don't try to show off or red line their bike on public roads all the time are not nannas, they are bikers who:
- will live old
- spend their money on their bike rather than on fines

That doesn't prevent you from having fun on your bike, you should try one day. Hell, there are plenty of twisties where you can have fun with much less danger for the rider or other motorists, including the tracks.

Oh, and I'm not an angel, but I choose where and when I speed. And, yes, I 'ride like a nanna' until I become a better rider.

Still does not change the fact that they are there for a reason and its breaking the law to pass or be on the other side of the road. It makes no difference if anyone thinks that they should be there or not.

Double-yellows are a little different. They do exist in places that don't warrant them and there are plenty of places where overtaking in a car would be suicide but on a bike is perfectly safe. I'm sure each one of us can also think of instances where speed limits are too high or too low, where there's a stop sign where there doesn't need to be and plenty of other inconsistencies besides.

The point isn't whether overtaking on double-yellows is illegal or whether blatting along at 130+ is illegal; it's whether it's stupid and dangerous or not. Just because a road sign or marking is there doesn't automatically mean that breaking it is dangerous. You can't measure safe driving / riding in kph and this maxim can be applied to other rules as well. If you actually think (this is not a comment at you, IL4 - it's 'you' in the third person) that just because a double-yellow's there crossing it is automatically dangerous or that exceeding the speed limit is automatically dangerous, then you're a fucking idiot and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a vehicle.

The point with the ATNR is the sheer level of idiocy that seems to be displayed every time people go out. As I said, I've only been on that ride once and that one time was more than enough to convince me I'd never want to ride with half of the fuckits who were present on that night. The more idiotic the behaviour on display, the more likely that arsehole cops are to find every single little thing to ping you on, or make them up if they haven't actually got anything to go on.

Ride safe and ride sensibly and the chances are that licence-removal wouldn't occur every Thursday evening. This doesn't mean obey every road-rule - far from it - but don't do things which are guaranteed to make every person who sees you think you're a cunt.

That was the night you were doing stoppies behind a police car into traffic lights to antagonise them. Last time I rode with you bra. Ow

Oh and we pulled into a car park so you and others riders who were past their legal riding time wouldn't get pinged.

Dont remember the burn outs I hope they weren't breaking the speed limit tho

Atleast my wheelies were shit!

I have know this officer to give out just as many tickets and might i add not only on a thursday night with 2 officers in attendance.

So why did he waste valuable resources buy useing 10 officers. When he had aready gathered his list of offenders.

A miss use of resources is my problem with this situation maybe they should of been sent to south Auckland where they are needed.

Could it be possibly - knowing that he reads KB (according to many post) - that the thought of trying to stop a dozen or so bikers in the middle of nowhere with just him and a single mate was a bad idea when - in a thread specifically about him there are comments like:

you should of just stopped and punched the dirty fucking pig in the head.Thats what they all need

I hope he is.If he did the too me i would stop for sure and have a LOT to say too the filthly pig:Police::Police::Police::Police:

Eventually somebody will get sick of his BS and beat him to a pulp.

can somone get a good pic of his face? I know what he looks like - but it would be good not to tar other cops with the ginga brush.

Maybe just loosen his wheel nuts / slash his tyres?

And thats not to mention the number of the posters who have mentioned doing a runner also.

So again - there is quite reasonable grounds for having a number of coppers out there.

Yeah but whats the likihood of it improving the actual ride? ;)

It doesnt matter WHAT I say or do....... All I can do is warn people (like I do EVERY night at the pre ride briefing)

"The cops know about this ride. If you want to speed and you do get caught, don't come crying".

There are many reasons why the route remains the same:

It has the safest roads to ride at night in the area
Too many intersections = many lost bikes in the dark
It is a much liked route by many riders
It is the perfect distance/time for a night ride
This route links best to the other roads we ride
It can be an enjoyable route even at the speed limit
I have been riding this route for the past 2-1/2 years and have yet to be pulled up by a cop or have a bin. 70% time I have been leading the ride.

However the route DOES change in the summer depending on rider ability and numbers. If people aint bitching about cops then they bitch about bins! Thats the main reason why I stick to the 'usual' route in the middle of winter - FOR SAFETY.

There is a simple way of solving this whole debate. Either HTFU and control your right wrist or dont come on the ride.

An old quote comes to mind (and I feel I am repeating myself yet again) -

So is it gonna be a small bunch cause some people cant ride legally?

C'mon as said before,

"Why speed on the straights and pay the man when you can do legal speeds in the corners and have more fun doing it?" Ask yourself this - Can I do this ride without using my brakes into corners? Get to know the corners and what speed you can safely take them at - You'll be a better rider for it. :yeah:

It aint rocket science is it?

Wendy, thats not the point (and I'm not aiming this at you personally)

- how would 'ol Ginga know that? (or indeed people on KB who are reading it also - being that the majority don't do the ATNR)?

Here people are talking about complaining to the press and the police complaints authority about harassment. Or complaining that there were 8 cops there on the night?

Yet in the same thread you have comments like #141.

Thats why (assuming Ginga reads this stuff), you guys who are having legitimate issues with him wont have any luck what so ever. He will simply print out the stuff that you guys have given him (again not pointing at you personally).

Before people start throwing stones - you have to be squeeky clean - and unfortuantly the ATNR is not - proven by the fact that 5 people lost their licence in a single evening.

Hi guys

After reading through the whinge-fest that is the gingaa copper thread, I have a question about riding with headlights on high beam. I ride with headlights on high beam all the time, one of the guys on the ride got pinged by a cop for not dipping his.

If I dip my high beam for every oncoming car, I'm gonna look like a strobe light, and many cars waiting to turn will probably think I'm telling them to turn in front of me and kill me.

I like riding with high beam as it does make me more visible, but I'm guessing were in the wrong and if we are pulled over for it will get fined a fair bit?

A couple of weeks ago, I was driving back from the Wild West one night, ands there was this really annoying bike behind me - the lights were so bright, I had to dip the mirror, and move over in my seat tos the (tinted!) wing mirror wasn't dazzling me. I was about to pull over and flag the guy down and tell him off, when he turned off to the left.

If you guys are serious about 'getting' this ginga, you need to beat him at his own game and talking about what you'll do, on here where he can read it, is just giving him fair warning of what to expect. By all means use dissemination to mislead, but actually 'do' something else that he's not expecting. Like take the ride somewhere else. Or behave. Or actually gather appropriate evidence to back up your official complaint to the PCA.

No more visible than dipped beam and at the same time making it a damn sight harder for other vehicles to judge your distance and approach speed. By riding on high beam when other vehicles are present you are in fact doing yourself a great disservice and other road users a discourtesy. The only time I ride with my headlight on high beam around other vehicles is when following someone without mirrors which is very rare.

Bad habit. Usually doesn't make a lot of difference on a 250 like yours - but it's still rude and inconsiderate.

Then if you do it on a big bike with a shitload of lights you could dazzle drivers enough to run into you.

How does the cop see it

*I hate bikers
*I'll get payback
*Im the law so what i say goes
*the roads must be made safe

Soo maybe he sees the group as a destructive gang??

Get patches?
Think devious?
screw him over by everyone doing burnouts around him??

At the end of the day hes doing his job - youre responsible for controlling your machine, theres only enough room for one hand on the throttle. You only have yourself to blame if you get caught. We studied and passed our licences for a reason, that says yes we are responsible enough on the road.

I will put my hand up and say even though i got stopped doing 90km/hr when the cop checked my licence i was done then and there riding a 600 on a restricted and yes it was a matter of time.

I wont be returning to ATNR untill i have the right licence for the right size bike even then i will still be contemplating. Why? because if i go out on a ride i want to enjoy it for me. Sad to say my views are heavily changing since I havent been on a real bike in 9 months.

IMO anyone who drives or rides with their highbeams on during the day, or fail to dip at night, are inconsiderate bastards - unless your bike is dang old, your highbeams WILL blind and piss off other motorists.

There's a GT250R rider up here on the North Shore who constantly rides with his high beam on, day and night, and it is frikken' bright. I've been sorely tempted to ram the blighter. Luckily for him he's always been going the opposite way to me, otherwise I'd give him a right fucking earful at the lights.

If a cager has not seen you with your lights on, they are not going to notice you with your highbeams on.

Okay, I've been reading this thread grinding my teeth.

With all the he said / she said bullshit, the point and value has been lost.

This bit is going to start a fistfight. I have ridden the ATNR once, I rode with a good mate who is a responsible guy who owns his own business and has 5 grandchildren. He's an ex-racer, which means that he understands how to ride, and he respects the speed limits, especially at night.

Now, this is documented - on that night I was following my mate, and his very distinctive bike at about 110 kph - he got pulled by Ginga, and he lost his licence for doing well over 140 kph. The disconnect here is the fact that both my mate and I were doing around 110 kph, and the speed wasn't possible. The ticket was appealed, and after discussion and supporting evidence presented, a senior cop pulled the charge (which was the correct thing to do).

It is clearly documented on other threads that this particular cop is breaking the law with his method of policing - there is a channel that should be used, that is the Police Complaints Authority. Instead of whining, pull your heads out your asses, build a case, make a complaint, and follow the process. Get a motorcycle cop to ride with you on the ATNR, document, video, and get ginga fired.

This is the bit that will start the fist fight - I'm no saint, I ride fast when it's safe - but the bullshit that I saw that night makes it clear that a lot of you are reaping what you sow. Do track days instead, it's cheaper, safer, and you'll improve your riding.

I guess maybe on a TL yeah. If people are riding the same as that on the road though then tyres and brake pads etc are getting just as worn if not more. I'm sure I could go to a trackday and pay $90 for the track, $20 for accommodation, and bike wear would be the same as if I was racing on the road.

Wow thats pretty out there for even ginga.

Its not disputed that there are some who dont ride/behave very well on the atnr. Most of the time its new riders or those who only ride a couple of times and end up getting caught. I sure made my share of stuff ups too.

One member is going to talk to some biker cops and see if they want to come and check it out.

Finn! You're back! I thought you'd been abducted by aliens.

I was. It was an incredible experience that I find difficult to discuss. While my recollection is extremely vague, I do remember walking to my letterbox to check the mail and then, all of a sudden WHAM!!! Next thing I know, everything was frozen around me. I couldn't move and the last thing I remember was being surrounded by several ugly beings in grey suits. I regained consciousness several weeks later feeling like I was hit by a train. I was cold, hungry and dehydrated. I could see the scars on my testicles where they had held me down with vice grips and my arse was extremely sensitive from severe trauma. Those pricks at IRD are ruthless I tell yah.

Its funny how its always the same ride same spot where riders get pulled up!!!

But you know what? You never hear of any other group rides complaining about cops and road blocks on the forums like this.

HTFU and go through the proper steps to ensure it does not happen time and time again!!! Bitching on here will only provoke the cop more and more.

Interesting to see how many non kb bikers i know already have drawn negative conclusions about this particular ride and have made it clear they will not ride

Seems like too much ego power trips are going on with the whole bikes vs cops on the ride now. When I first started riding ATNR there was none of what there is now, it was fun, good pace and everyone got there safely riding their own ride, now its targeted and cop tainted, the joy of riding is diminshing and the rebellious side is showing. Id rather stay on the cops good side because if I ass off i'll be the one thankful he saved my life at the end of the day.

Rebellious or reactionary?

I've been watching this thread and the other one for some time and it seems to me this ginga coont just has it in for motorcyclists regardless of how law abiding they might be. Exactly how he can get 5 number plates from passing, supposedly 140km/h+ speeding, bikes in the dark all while hiding from plain view and stationary (please correct me if I'm wrong about any of those points) is completely beyond my comprehension.

Now, let's get this into perspective: sure, the guys riding might be speeding, even overtaking over yellow lines at times (I won't start ranting about some of the stupid places Transit put yellow lines as a measure against driver stupidity rather than hazards a prudent and competent driver would not be able to foresee - oops too late :angry2:). I'm sure they're happy to accept responsibility for any infringement on any particular traffic regulations they might happen to break. But if this ginga cop is doing what some say he is and just making shit up, that is far worse and he needs to be made accountable. After all, he's breaking the oath he swore (particularly the bit ..."without favour or affection, malice or ill-will...") and they're just infringing on a mere regulation. It's really a question of integrity vs a bit of organised tom foolery.

Id rather stay on the cops good side because if I ass off i'll be the one thankful he saved my life at the end of the day.

That's a pretty spurious conclusion.

Anyway - in this instance Ginga did nothing wrong - no pressure, no tailgating, no lights on full beam.

I guess he wonders why go thru that hassle, when the guys will come to him.

So - of the 5 people who lost their licence last week - how many were unfairly 'snapped' by Ginga and his mates? anyone?

Maybe SOME the riders need to take accountability for making SH16 such a cop troll that it now is.

Inline was round these parts calling folks on their bullshit long before you'd even heard of KB. Just cos he suffered an horrendous life-changing accident doesn't mean he can no longer spot and deal to bullshit like the old days.
The ginga needs to be dealt with via the system for such things, and 'you lot' going on about it here and doing the same ride/shit every week just isn't going to cut it. What's so hard to understand about that?

I think you need to sort your shit out first ... IL4 knows more about the situation that you realise. One thing he does know is how to deal with it properly and through the system. Maybe, and here is a thought, you should do as suggested by Mstrs and use the system to address the issue than moaning and bitching on here and not achieving a thing. Unless you like the life of an underachiever that is.

It rained the whole trip down, pulled up to see him and a mate waiting at the end of the drive for me. Didnt say a word, got off bike tipped my boots out full of water and was greeted and welcomed into his home. That dry towel was the best lol.

Just because someone is handicripple dosent mean they cant voice opinions or not know about biking. If Inline had a bike designed for him to ride, would he still be considered to know nothing about these type of situations happening?? Maybe he is in person, maybe he isn't. Online i.e. in these forums inlinefour is brash and rude (irrespective of whether he is right or wrong in his opinions).

I think people have summed up this thread quite correctly a few times now:

1. Some folk on the ATNR repeatedly break NZ traffic laws
2. Ginge is now there trying to put a stop to it (punishing the naughty folk in point 1)
3. Ginge has not at all times acted professionally in doing this.
