Snot an onnermatterpayer. It's an alliteration.
But you've given me an idea. How about a new model name... something like the "BRRRAAAP 900"?

Not too pricey i hear. Cheaper than the thruxton someone said too me.
But the std trumpets arent loud enough for me. Might see if they give a good afta market set - say some SuperTrapps woould be nice

Who is Onner BTW?

I voted no.
I like the general look, but kitsch remakes are for Korean knock off jockeys. I'd rather see a full relaunch of the Commando brand, much like Triumph did with the Daytona. Leave classics as classics.

Is it just me, or has correcting grammatical errors been the main reason for your last 100 posts....
:)
But the question is, what is it worth?
um, more importantly what does it cost... these days worth and cost seem to be less and less related...

No? Well, I 'll tell you then.
Onner was known as "Good Onner" because she was good.

I worry about the American build quality with the new one... I hope it isn't a harley in a nice looking frame - But I WANT ONE anyway... it's NICE... That said - I didn't even know that the old Norton was a rotary - can you get a rotary engine in a bike today?? Anyone?

Guy down here was racing an ex police one at BEAR's before they bought out the F1,sure sounded different than all the rest.

Well I voted cool cause it's one impressive looking bike - the Commando Roadsters were gobsmackingly beautiful on the showroom floor in their day....the colours, the line of shock, engine and frame tubes,it was a hastily slapped together piece of kit as a stop gap - and became a classic in it's own lifetime.I didn't like the fastback or the SS cafe racer, but the Roadster was beuuuutiful.Walking along K road you'd hear the distinctive whistle of the peashooters, turn around with your mouth open and see a canary yellow Commando Roadster coming down the road.Everyone wanted one,I sure did - I got to use one when I didn't have the use of my licence...we,um....borrowed it,a metalflake blue one.I would take it out where no cops were,to Kawakawa Bay and beyond where it was gravel - I would laugh out loud while riding it...they are that much fun to ride.
What annoys me is they are just using styling cues to sell a bike - I don't like my buttons being pushed by remote control....even with such a gorgeous bike as this...my head is down and I feel like smacking some greasy salesman who tries to sell me one...Leave me alone with my memories,ok?

after a quick google, it doesnt look like there are any current manufacturer's using rotary engines in bikes, surely its a brilliant opportunity for someone to leap in, especially as mazda have just built a rotary that runs on hydrogen!!
the power the f1 nortons had was just mind blowin, and as already commented on, havin heard em at the tt, nothin comes close!

THis mindblowing power, surely you jest? Do you remember Ron Haslam being entered on a Norton Rotary in the British GP? Bloody embarrassing, the commentators were talking him up and he got lapped big time.
Bear in mind that was Stevie Hislop racing that white Norton at IoM, the man was a legend, just showed how good he was, being able to push that bike around like he did that year (1992)
