Well...

Re-Registering the bike only to find it's disc brakes are too worn down. Damn it! Does anybody know where I can get a cheap replacement? I will need both of the front discs.

I have a feeling that they're about $250 each... God I hope it isn't that much... otherwise my baby will be resting for some time. :(

Are they 310 mm floating jobbies? like on the full sized Blades.
I can loan you a set of EBC prolites for a month. That will get your warrant, and give you time to hunt some replacements down.
You will need to buy new pads to run on them, as your pads are probably worn to match your discs.

Cheers for the offer, I'll have a look into it. Not saying yes or no at the moment, but it sounds like a bloody good idea.

Cheers mate.

there is a company in Australia that makes really good brakes at an affordable price. Get in touch with cycletreads and ask about getting hold of a set of 'metalgear' (i think) front brakes. If you ask to talk to Bungy he will be able to sort you out.
