What is the largest thing you have transported on your bike?
This evening I withstood the weather all the way out to scenic drive and had this thing stuck too my bike!
The pack rack has a heavy speaker in it, the other one is on top of the box. I had just enough room between the tank and box to sit! If any of you have been down mountain road you will know it's not the best when dark and raining hard. My rope skills where not the best either, so found myself with one hand holding the box on the bike most of the way home!
What are some of your stories!
I once took a BBQ down the motorway.

I read in the nz herald one day that some dickhead carried a sh*t load of things, including a couch on his bike. The authorities pulled him over (obviously) and charged him with whatever the charge is called.
As for the largest thing I've carried, I've only done off road, so it would have to be a bean bag. Their bloddy hard things to hold onto! :2guns:

2 ex race tyres for my old zxr 750. Brought in wellington, put them round my waist like a hula hoop and rode to palmy.
Went 3 up from palmy to wellington on a zxr 250. I was the middle passenger and was taking turns using the pillion foot pegs.
20L jerry can strapped to my back and feeding straight into the carbs when I lost the my keys 400km from home (had to hotwire the bike) and couldn't open the gas tank to fill it up.

I rode pillion on the back of my brothers sportster holding onto the front wheel of my sporty while we roared around the middle of nowhere looking for someone to fix the tire. It sucked, . Luckily I had a massive hangover and we were in the middle of a storm.
Got it fixed, Then I crashed.
Shitest ride ever.

Strapped a 160/60/17 Pirelli tyre on the rear seat of my CBR600 one fine saturday not long ago.
Was only mildly uncomfortable as the tyre was pushing into my lower back a wee bit.
Oh and a super supreme pizza and a box of weetbix on another occasion.

I had a complete triumph 2500 exhaust, from manifold tail pipe strapped down the side of my nsr250, mosgiel to dunedin in traffic.
The guys at the wreckers bet me I couldn't do it.

Two lazy-boy chairs, racheted to each other back-to-back. I sat on one, the other hung over the back of the bike. If I stood up they would have both fallen off.
But it was all legal, I was in Taiwan at the time! I had found these chairs thrown out on recycling day and we'd just moved into a new apartment and needed everything.
In NZ the biggest load I have carried is five Swappa-crates full of empty bottles. Not heavy but a hell of a noise!

Apart from my thing, you mean?
Um... probably three (3) boys (offspring, if you must know - I'm not that way inclined) at once.
But one of the most awkward was a backpack with two heavy fire extinguishers in, one of which was large, full, and kept leaping around, trying to escape or kill me or summat.
Prolly not as heavy as the vifferbabe plus two Ventura packs stuffed to the brim plus a tankbag, when we toured OopNorf a coupla years ago, but much, much less well behaved.
Pizza anyone?
No, I don't work there...

The bulkiest single non-human item was a large boxing bag.
The biggest single human item was me.
The heaviest load was five large bags of kitty litter from pac'n'save - One over the tank, held there by the one in my jacket, two on the pillion seat squeezed between me and the top box, and one in the top box. I, er, had a chemical spill I didn't really want to tell the authorities about.
