The trail side of Adv riding

OK, just a quick tap for those of us with a preference for dirt...

Quick 2 hour outing mid day today took me up the back of Onamalutu (North Bank Rd ring a bell?). First time up there but had a ball. Always a hoot when you get yourself into situations you're not sure how you will get out of.

Long story short, bike set up with road gearing and an MT21 on the back + permafrost and wet clay from a couple of days rain + steep track with no exit on the downhill side = a handfull of attempts to get back up the hill!

Was mint, had the whole forest to myself apart from a couple of pig hunters. Even chased a couple of trout when I stopped at a creek crossing. Gotta love the Kiwi outdoors! :msn-wink:

Not a lot to see as I only set my phone up after all the wheelies and arseoffs.

Oh, if anyone knows af a .3gp or .mp4 to mpeg or avi converter let me know so I can cut all the crap out of the second vid.:niceone:

Its amazing how knackering stuff like that is

now you know why I always take one of my boys with me :)

I've dropped my back tire pressure down to 8-10psi as a desperation measure to get up slippery hills - its makes a massive difference (dual rimlocks though)

I had some similar responses but they were reserving the right to bung adverts up when people played it.
