Have you tried a cruiser for a good (cold) ride ?
I have the same problem with the knees and have to wear kevlar trou with the padding in the knees to stop the chill or i have trouble walking for two days ! Picking not much would change with a change of bike unless your talking fully faired eeeeek
Might be the old school attitude, riding in ridgy jeans or straight leather trou thats gettin ya lol

Its noy really the cold allthough it makes a difference its how muck me knees are bent :sick:have not ridden a cruise a long distance ridden a few through work I like the Matt black VTX1800 Honda on trade me :drool:Nicest cruiser Iv'e seen in a long time

try a neoprene knee brace, and also try taking large quanties (6 grams morning, same at night) of fish oil or other sources of Omega3 oils.
